"I'm from Miami and moving soon to Colorado so I had to check out the Cuban food at El Bohio. First, everything was made fresh to order including the ham croquettes and empanadas. The Cuban sandwich was great, bread was great. The empanada shell was excellent, the ground beef filling was an 8/10 because it wasn't quite as flavorful as I'm used to, it was hot and delicious nevertheless. The croquettes were good, the ham filling was great, they were a bit smaller in size than I'm used to. The sweet plantains (maduros) were excellent. The Cuban coffee was a bit disappointing, it wasn't as strong as it should be and there was no spuma (foam), still good but I'll give it a 5/10. The rice and beans were hot and flavorful but there was not enough bean juice, it was closer to congri than black beans and white rice. The steak was good, it was smaller and a bit thinner than what's expected in this dish, flavor was a bit underwhelming but good. This was a great experience but not as good as the 100s of Cuban restaurants in Miami, however, I'm sure I'll be back again."
