"Interestingly, other guests arrived after us and managed to eat before we did. I won’t speculate on why that happened, but I did appreciate the thoughtful touch of rose petals on our table for our anniversary, which earned some bonus points.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent; it was bustling, possibly even overcrowded. As for the food, it was acceptable, but I found the prices to be high considering the quality and level of service we received. It seemed like our waiter might have been overwhelmed or not fully attentive, as we even had to inquire about our fries, which ultimately didn’t arrive and we decided to cancel because we were already full.
Several factors contributed to my frustration. Given the level of service this restaurant aims to provide, I expected much more. In my opinion, service is crucial, and for the amount we spent, I anticipated some degree of pampering. I’ve been to much simpler restaurants that manage to offer better service; I even joked with my wife about how we should have gone to Texas Roadhouse, where we always feel valued and enjoy the food.
For comparison, we recently dined at Crown Block in the Reunion Tower, where I expected to pay more due to the view and location, yet we received the same amount of food for a lower price. While we may not be regulars or used to high-end dining, I believe every guest should have an experience that encourages them to return.
