"we were greeted right away and ushered to our seats as we had a reservation. Appetizer came out faster than I expected and the drink order was slightly delayed but no biggie.Food was great. Ambiance was to our likingnot too loud and interior decorated nicely and interestingly. We had a great experience. They may want to look at expanding or changing the choices of wine. The food menu was heavy on fishseafood but that suited us. It was our first time and it was a nice dinner and a nice place to celebrate an anniversary. Value was normal, the wines were a little pricey though. We will definitely go back and make a regular stop once this Covid thing is done"

"If you’ve read my other reviews, you know that I try to shy away from chain restaurants. Anytime I travel I try to find local places to eat at. Pepper’s is one of those local restaurants that I’ve frequented over the years whenever I pass through Boone. My favorite thing about Pepper’s has always been their salad bar. They always had a nice selection of choices and was a good way to start the meal. When I walked in tonight I noticed that the salad bar was gone. I asked about this, and my waiter said they got rid of it and that they offer various salad choices now with your meal. I ordered the meat loaf with roasted vegetables and a side garden salad for my dinner. After a few minutes my waiter came back and informed me that they didn’t have meatloaf and asked if I wanted to order something else. I ordered blackened chicken pasta instead. I also asked for a coke as I had been traveling and was tired and needed a bit of a pick me up. I was informed their coke machine was down and they couldn’t serve soft drinks at this time. My salad had a lot of beet root leaves in it. I am not a fan of beet root leaves and would’ve never picked that from the old salad bar. I didn’t think the pasta was good. I wouldn’t order it again. My wife ordered the French dip sub and said the sandwich was ok. Another change to the Pepper’s menu is that they used to offer thick fluffy steak fries with their sandwiches. These fries were thin and very hard. My wife didn’t like them. I’ve had good experiences at Pepper’s over the years, but don’t think I’ll come back again given the changes that they have made to their menu."

"Delia Roberts from Group Sales at Bahama Breeze Potomac Mills handled the coordination for my retirement reception at that restaurant location (9/29/2023). She made things so easy for us as me and my wife were making arrangements from another state. After my retirement ceremony, the reception was held there at the restaurant with the staff and tables ready for my party of 56. The staff were kind and attentive. Delia Roberts ensured to check in on us throughout the afternoon and was quick to make accommodations on the spot as new guests arrived. I would not hesitate for one bit to have another event there. Also, the food was delicious so kudos to the chefs making the meals that day. All of my guests loved the food and were raving about the service from the staff."

"the employees of the frontend were not particularly welcome despite a reservation. to get many mix-ups sitting on our party - first person arriving was sitting in the back room, but assured that the personal would let others know where to find the party. the rest of the party sat in the front room. when the person on the back this discovered and asked to move the server was really angry, although it was not the fault of the customer. the new server in the front room was more friendly, but the service was really rushed- any cure that arrived before the table had ended the current cursor. eating was in order, but nothing special. designed with taking out a really good old from the bartender, there are...more"

"The food is always delicious, and the service is outstanding. Our server overheard me wish my guest happy birthday, and at the end of the meal he added a festive sparkler to our dessert without any request from me. Another time, we were seated outdoors and it started to rain. Our server helped us carry all our food inside even though he got drenched. Chef Geoff 's must treat their staff well because they always convey that attitude to the customers. Great job, CG!"

"The atmosphere was good, the noise level was fine, it was the food that was lacking. The service was very good, nice wait staff and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not in a good way! Even the salsa for the chips was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce come on, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry!!!!!!"

"We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, with excellent service from our server Shaye. We even had the chance to meet the talented chef Sherika, who was both skilled and knowledgeable. "Food quality was good, but the service was slow and spotty. We had to get up and get our own silverware and napkins off of an adjacent table. Hard to find and track down our server. The coconut shrimp tacos were very good, the scampi appetizer was delicious as well. The salad was just really iceberg lettuce with a few cherry tomatoes. Prices have got very expensive for this level of restaurant, with most appetizers costing $15."

"We went for a friends birthday dinner and I told the server that I had allergies and it was a few. I had to tell her she needed to write them down because she wasn’t going to and this is important. I ordered my food and said not to have the butter on top of my steak. Well it came and was on top of my steak so I sent it back saying I was allergic and couldn’t have it. A “new” steak was dropped off and when eating it I could taste the butter because they must have wiped it off the top. I ended up getting extremely sick from it. I am disappointed that they do not respect allergies and I will NEVER go there again. Extremely unacceptable and I told the server and all she said was no it was a new steak. That was a lie and I left very unhappy, because didn’t want to cause a seen during my friends birthday dinner."

"Came hungry, felt the fun in the air and got seated right away on a Saturday night. Saw where the big guy personally sits and the screens for the games. "This restaurant clearly falls short in both hospitality at the ordering window and the taste and quality of its food. We ordered two combination plates, which included one short rib taco and a chile relleno, along with a house margarita and a beer. The total came to $73, not including the 20% tip we left, which felt excessive given the quality of what we received. When we asked for chips and salsa, they informed us that it would cost extra, which was surprising. Our waiter was a pleasant young man, and we appreciated his service. We were also taken aback to discover that Asada is owned by Reunion Kitchen, which makes sense to us since we’re not fans of that place either; both are quite average and overpriced. We don’t mind paying more for a fine dining experience if the food is of good quality and the atmosphere is inviting, but both of these restaurants need significant improvements in all areas."

"We always get great service and great food at this location. We dined outside to hear the musician play live island music. Server was very attentive and upbeat. We had the Red Snapper, Salmon, and the Pineapple Chicken bowl. Coconut Shrimp and Empanadas for appetizers. Would recommend this place. I would add, don’t sit too close to the live music if you want to communicate during dinner."

"Came here in a Sunday for brunch with the family, got a table across from the glass windows and had a lovely view of the ocean/beach. Our server was very attentive and knowledge about the menu. "is a great place. the staff is very friendly and it was not very crowded for a Saturday night. great wings, not sure why I didn't get cold cups while the other person did my table. I hate it when restaurants do that. either they give them both warm cups or give them both cold cups. but do not do any of them. "I had an unexpected short day at work and decided to stop in for lunch. My server Alicia B was phenomenal! Not only was she incredibly friendly and personable, but very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. She asked flavors I do/do not like and offered excellent suggestions based on my preferences. She also pulled up pictures of everything because visuals often aid in decision making. I had the chimichurri steak salad and yuca cheese sticks. Both were absolutely delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly, and I had food to take home. For drinks I had the Bahama Mama,which was delicious, along with water. When Alicia noticed how quickly I drank my water,she returned with TWO more at a time. I never had to wait for anything. She was extremely on top of things and checked on me often,all while providing her friendly and attentive service to her other tables along with mine. When she found out I was celebrating 28 years cancer free that day,she wanted to celebrate ME with the delicious chocolate mousse dessert. She provided the best service I have received in a very long time...and probably ever. She is a true gem and I will definitely ask to be seated with her every time I go. I had a truly wonderful lunch and overall experience."
