"My second visit was better. My guests and I ordered the linguini with scallops (the chef's suggestion), jambalaya, and the NY strip steak. The scallops dish was simple but delicious, featuring a nice garlic sauce and a generous amount of scallops. The jambalaya was well-executed, but I should note that the andouille sausage in the chef's suggestion was spicier than most I’ve tasted—while I enjoyed it, a few people at my table found it a bit overpowering. Unfortunately, the NY strip was a letdown. I had requested it medium, but it came out well done, and the seasoning was lackluster. It seemed like they tried to mask the meat's quality with a mediocre sauce that included shrimp.
We ordered two bottles of wine that were out of stock, but our waiter helped us find alternatives that we enjoyed. His habit of calling us "friends" in his French accent became a bit tiresome, but overall, he provided satisfactory service. All in all, I would return, but I would steer clear of the NY strip and salad in the future."
