"Shapiro’s is a St Louis icon. I always make a point to bring out of towners here. Every sandwich this place produces is respectfully buss’in, and there are new sandwiches all the time. The snack and drink selection is incredible, but the food is only 5% of the reason why you should go there. The other 95% is for the charisma and gregariousness of the owner. Regulars know that you will get treated to world class customer service and maybe even a succulent propagation. Forget every other status symbol you know, the true sign of success is getting on a first name basis with the owner."
