"Four disappointments: 1) after watching the next table enjoy a steak with asparagus when I order the same was told sorry we don 't have any asparagus. 2) Food was delivered to 3 of us but final dish did not come out at same time. It took many minutes before final dish was served. Whether it was the wait or how it came out one of our party had to have their entre warmed up. 3). One of our party ordered the Branzino. $37) What was served was a single thin filet of fish on a puddle of mashed potatoes. Fish portion couldn 't have been more than a couple of ounces. The picture of the dish on Open Table showed two healthy filets. 4) When we complained about the disparity the waiter got the chef/manager/owner and he claimed that food costs have gone up so they had to cut back. He even admitted that he was the one that took the picture that is on their website. Made me wonder if my 16oz steak was really 16oz. No sincere apology but did say what can we do? We said for starters not falsely depict your food on the website. Nothing much was said after that point and they walked away. Only when we paid the check did the waiter say the fish had been removed from the bill. As noted this was a disappointing experience. My wife and I have enjoyed many evenings there dining or having wine at the bar. This was the first time our friends had been to Nowak 's so not a great first impression. We will likely return but with some reservation."

"This year,  we decided to do something a little nontraditional for Thanksgiving and go out for dinner. It was our daughter's recommendation to visit Bob's, and I am very happy and proud to report that we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate the holiday. We actually arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation, but were shown right to our table.  Although I am sure this isn't the case during a non-holiday weekend during peak hours. Upon first walking in, the dining room seemed extremely dark, but it shouldn't be much of a surprise as it was mid-afternoon when we arrived. However, shortly after being seated, the lighting seemed very natural. Our waiter was warm, friendly and very attentive.  He offered honest, on point answers to every question asked, and was eager to make a recommendation when asked.  He never seemed overly rushed, and took the time to joke and cajole. The menu is an efficient single page, unlike some establishments that have pages and pages of things, trying to have a full menu of steaks,  a whole menu of seafood, menu of pasta, chicken, and Mexican. Bob's menu is simple and complete with a great selection of signature steaks, several appetizer choices, and a few seafood dishes to balance things out. Tuna tartar and fried lobster were chosen as appetizers, and when they arrived, I knew that we were in for something special. The tuna was soft and mild with an extremely fresh taste.  The fried lobster was light and crispy and perfectly breaded, and was served a mild buttery sauce on the side. The wait for our entrees was not too long and everything delivered was finely plated. Waygu medallions with seared scallops,  blackened redfish with risotto, rack of lamb, and a 45-day dry aged steak were our entrees and I simply do not have adequate works to describe the joy experienced in every single bite. Side dished seem to be an afterthought at many places, but not here.nd whatever you do, you simply must have their signature carrot, Moving on to dessert, carrot cake, pumpkin cheesecake, and creme brulee were wonderfully prepared, but I must say everyone at the table was a bit jealous of my bread pudding. When you are looking for your next special evening out, please give Bob's your consideration.  Everything we encountered was top notch and I am confident you will find it so too"

"Date night with the misses and made a reservation one week prior. Reservation for two at 5 p.m., and we arrived 15 minutes early approximately. We got a parking spot in front of the restaurant and paid the parking fee with our telephone. It was 95 plus degrees outside, and we had to wait until they opened the door at 5 p.m. The restaurant was beautiful and classy; you must wear pants and a collared shirt to dine in. Our waitress 's name was Nicki, and she was pleasant and helpful. We had a choice of tap water, sparkling or rigid, so we chose Fiji because we would not drink the tap water. We ordered the bone marrow, lobster tempura, and lamb drumsticks. All were delicious and served in a beautiful presentation. The accompanying sauces were delicious and went well with the bread. The entrees were wagyu steak and lobster.; tuna with vegetables, and prepared to perfection. My wife and I were so full we did not eat dessert but plan on returning to try the sweet dishes. The bathroom was clean and we spent 320 bucks before the tip for two. I gave 5 mustaches for the food.. 4 mustaches for the service because it was a little slow at times.. however they were very busy. 5 mustaches for the atmosphere, although , it was a little loud at first, so not a great place for a quiet dinner for two. I do highly recommend going to Galveston and trying this steak house. I almost forgot the best part the Caesar salad was to die for .. or maybe to pine for.. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"
