"For dinner, I ordered a $42 12 ounce NY strip steak cooked medium-rare but received it cooked medium. While the char on the steak was good, I found it disappointing that I needed to use steak sauce on such an expensive cut of meat. The sides of potatoes were fine but bland, and the broccolini was overcooked and still hard. The Berry Blast cocktail lacked muddled blueberries and tasted overwhelmingly of vodka.
For lunch, I had the fish and chips for $25. The skin-on Northern pike was a bit unusual but crispy and enjoyable. The batter was not traditional but still tasty, although I felt it was overpriced.
For dinner again, I ordered a $35 half-pound brisket. The BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup with a hint of Worcestershire sauce, and the brisket was greasy and had too much fat. The excessive fat was not properly trimmed before cooking, resulting in a mouthfeel that was too oily. The BBQ sauce did little to cut through the fat, leaving a displeasing experience.
Overall, I would rate this restaurant with 4 stars for its recreational prices but only 1 star for its dining experience. The chef should be disappointed in the quality of the meals served. I suggest looking elsewhere for a better dining option."
