"We arrived at 6pm; plenty of parking space. Beautiful Christmas Tree at the entrance. Open concept restaurant. Décor was classy. Background music playing. We were upstairs. DJ was there. We are sitting at a table where we are not stuck next to other people. We had space around us where we could get up and talk to the person at the other side of the table without any problems. The service we had from start to end was 5 starts plus; Excellent! Kristine the manager helped with the reservation and details and was very quick to reply to the emails. She personalized the menu which was a great touch. We got the company Logo on the menu as well as a personalized message. The menu was already on the table when we arrived. The waiter "Jason" was a great hit with everyone at our table, He made sure everyone was well taken care of. At one point towards the end of the evening, three of us started to fan ourselves as we thought it was getting hot. Jason saw this and signaled us that he will take care of the temperature and it started to cool down soon enough. We didn't even have to say anything. He was excellent. I don't ever recall ever having service like Jason. Well done and Thank You very Much Jason :)The food was delicious and on time. Everyone was served at the same time. I loved the flourless chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream; it was soooo good. The NY striploin stake was really good too.Towards the end of the evening, the music did get a little louder and people got up and started to dance. The dance floor was right next to us as we were close to the DJ. He played disco music. I guess he caters to the people who are there and plays what gets people up to dance. Well, it worked as our whole group got up dancing. There was also another Christmas tree upstairs. We left around 11:30pm. We all had a great time. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone and I will also go back. The next two days back at work and I only received good feedback from everyone.Thank you to everyone there."

"Had a great experience here for Miami Spice. Very friendly service (free bubbles outside before being seated was extremely kind), attentive service, and deep knowledge and explanation of every dish that came out really created an elevated experience.Surroundings are very minimal and chic, with the upstairs bar giving intimate, modern, and contrasting a darker coziness to themain dining room?s lighter ambience. My partner and I each did a three-course and shared each of the courses. Food overall wasquite good, with some standouts and some that were just ok. Cocktail and wine list was expansive, quality was quitenice. Appetizers ? took the cake, incredibly delicious 1. Beef tartare prepared/mixed at your table, served with Lays BakedPotato Chips, which was a very down to earth touch and complemented the tartare incredibly well. 2. Salmon sashimi with soysauce ?caviar? ? very delicate, melt in your mouth, excellent quality. Mains 1. Beef cheek with coconut curry ? meat wasextremely tender, flavourful, and served on a scallion pancake, which nicely absorbed the coconut curry served alongside.10/10 2. Salmon ? despite being a good quality cut of fish, the salmon was a bit overdone for my liking, but the soba noodleswere presented beautifully and prepared nicely. 6/10 Dessert 1. Chocolate cake ? incredibly delicious, rich, and the perfectsize (any larger would have been too much given the richness). 2. ?Adult? lollipop ? choice of pink lemonade or a jalapeñooption that is served with a liqueur for dipping. Nothing to complain about, it?s a popsicle with alcohol, but I would skip thisand try the foie gras crème brûlée instead"

"Les 400 Coups ranks among my top Montreal recommendations for experienced foodies seeking new adventures. On our most recent visit, Saturday night, my wife and I agreed there wasn’t a dud course across the tasting menu, and the wine pairings were bold and imaginative.Although the kitchen has a different director than it did when last I reviewed Les 400 Coups, current head chef Jonathan Rassi upholds the previous focus on local ingredients combined in unexpected ways. He is a genius with veggies, and on a tasting menu earlier this year my favourite dish was his parsnip stuffed with 14 arpents cheese and diced apple, celeriac and kohlrabi. I note that at least one previous TA reviewer felt otherwise about that dish, and it’s to be expected that opinion will vary with such experimental recipes. What you won’t be is bored, as Les 400 Coups does what a true foodie joint should: push diners outside their comfort zones. The effortlessly bilingual wait staff are all enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The sommelier has mastered the art of describing the essentials of his suggested pairings (interesting facts about the producers, notes to look out for, and the rationale for his match for each course) at a level that shouldn’t intimidate even novices. Indeed, despite the complexity of the menu, the vibe here is the opposite of snooty—the waiters even insist on setting knives and forks in the wrong position (yes, Virginia, there is a right and a wrong order). Smart-casual dress would be appropriate.●●●●● Food●●●●● Service●●●●● Value●●●●○ Atmosphere"
