"Gotta love Mama Jo’s cart. Mama Jo is so friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Is it the best breakfast sandwich you will have? The egg and cheese on a roll tasted like any other one I have had but it is served with love. The weekly special is a great deal. It is a breakfast sandwich, donut, and juice for $7. What a deal. I will come back when in the area. Nice gem on the east side."

"DO NOT EAT HERE!!! There was hair in my husbands meal. The manager accused my family, saying it was our hair. It was a long black strand and our hair was braided and blonde. Then they messed up on my children’s food order. They gave one of my children all the sides and gave my other daughter nothing. "Very interesting experience with the steamed seafood they have. The seasoning is delicious but to be honest it doesn’t matter much the seasoning you choose they all taste very similar. I’ve been here a couple of times and everyone that dine with me with this place have a great time and enjoy the different, messy experience.You need to wear plastic gloves and put in an apron to eat, to avoid spilling the sauce on you or have your hands too dirty. I really recommend this place, even though seems always empty, the food is worth it.Under ratted! I love this place."

"My daughter and I enjoyed a late lunch at this restaurant recently, and the food was amazing! The portions were generous, and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. I ordered a pound of shrimp, which were among the best I've had in a long time, along with sweet potato fries that came with a fantastic cinnamon dipping sauce. The staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning for another wonderful meal soon!"

"Are you dining in a grocery store? Yes, indeed! Eating off cafeteria trays on bright tables and chairs? You got it. And are you thoroughly enjoying the fantastic food and attentive service? Absolutely! I had the butter chicken and the curry chicken, while my wife opted for the tikka masala, and everything was delicious. The butter naan was exceptional too. As for the service, the owner personally came over to chat about our meal and even treated us to some rice pudding. Such a wonderful experience!"

"We came here due to the latest reviews. We were dining at close to the first shift close. That being said, our service was great. I ordered the fried chicken lunch special and my wife a simple sandwich and salad. Meals were slow out of the kitchen. Fried chicken was moist but cold as was the rest of the special. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant. I was too hungry to have the meal heated up. They pride themselves on the breakfast, and they would have gotten another star if the hot meal was served hot without the pea salad and with fries instead of instant mashed."

"My family came here in late July 2021. We were a party of 7 and when we came in seeing if there was a place for us to sit, the lady working the cashier was very rude and basically yelling at us to go outside and wait while the other customers looks at us. We waited for almost 20 minutes until they took us in and when we went up to order the lady got annoyed and told us to write our order on paper and sent us back to our seat. After we ordered, we waited for almost 40 minutes and even after that only 1 of our orders came in. After another 15-20 minute wait the rest of our food came. Overall the entire staff was very hostile towards us, getting upset if we asked for extra napkins, utensils, etc. We will not be returning to this restaurant, and if you contemplating coming here, don’t *REPLY TO RESPONSE while you admit that you did give us a complimentary item to make it up, since u did realize that we waited over a reasonable time for the food , by responding rudely to reviews you are making customers go away permanently. while you were busy with the online orders. we were asked to wait for 15 mins even when 3 other tables were available and we were willing to split our group in different tables. even that you don’t appreciate. we were not told even 1 time or asked if we made any appointment. i don’t think you have reached the category where we have to make reservations. you can always tell people who come to dine in if you guys will be late in serving the food so they are aware if they are willing to wait or leave.put signs around your restaurant that customers have to dispose theirs plates themselves or take the plates home. u were yelling at another customer for not removing the plates. you should rather be a take out place than dining in as you are totally losing it. the water bottles were ours and did not get from your refrigerator. so stop making customers feel that you are doing them a favor by opening your restaurant.good luck with your continued rude response and attitude towards the customers!!!!!"

"I was quite disappointed with my experience. The food arrived barely warm, and there was no silverware provided. The Fried Fish Fillet Basket was overly salty and heavily breaded, making it dry, and it didn't come with any sauce—not even a lemon wedge, tartar sauce, or hot sauce. The Crab Bites were somewhat decent, but again, they were served with no dipping sauce whatsoever. I had hoped for a remoulade sauce to enhance them, but it was just a plate of dry crab nuggets. The coleslaw was completely unseasoned and lacked flavor, making for a rather bland meal overall. I definitely expected more."

"The food here is absolutely amazing. It was the best tasting seafood we got in the area. The cabin doing sauce was phenomenal.BUT... the reason for 2 stars is that the amount of food gotten for the price is not proportional, nor do I believe it was weighed properly.ALSO, and this is the main reason for the rating because it ruined the entire meal, which is added gratuity on the check. Tips are SUPPOSED to be optional. Though, I always tip and was intending on tipping good. But to demand I give a tip rather than pay your employees better is wrong. And then, asking for more tip! No. Restaurants should not add a tip to a check. This is coming from a former waitress of nearly 10 years.The food was good, but I will not be back because of this.For any person going, if you have 6+ people, they automatically add tip, even if it is kids, like we had. We did not know this until the check was brought to us, even though it is apparently on the menu."

"Just off the plane and it had 4 stars and on the way to the hotel so dropped in for a quick seafood treat. Ashley was really helpful and friendly! She pointed us to the lunch specials where for $13 you were able select from a variety of dishes. I went for shrimp and clams and my daughter had crawfish and sausage. Both came with corn and potatoes!Very good. At one point there was a lot of cheering and we missed the local joke about something but Ashley said we just missed the show! Great place check it out when coming into JAX from the airport!"

"They cook to order and the food is worth the wait. This is always one of the first places I go when in Alexandria Louisiana. There is no place to eat on site but still great crawfish, shrimp and CRACKLINGS! I ordered the country broth with snow crab, sausage, shrimp (heads removed), egg, potato, and corn. The sauce was flavorful and had a nice medium heat that brought everything together beautifully. "Awesome food and service. Went for Soft Shell Crab. Usually difficult to get around here, and if you do find it it's usually overcooked and tough. Jumbo Crab chef prepared it perfect. Actually, the best I've had ANYWHERE. Kudos to him or her. I also had the Shrimp and it too was extremely tasty. I plan on returning soon and try other items on the extensive menu. This is a nice clean place with fantastic seafood and great service. Try this place, you're sure to like it."
