"Service was excellent, Mark was awesome. Drinks were really good, had Pomegranate margarita and Sazerac. The food was tasty but not great. Arrived during happy hour so I was able to taste a few things at a good price. Quail legs were very delicate tasting and good. Boudin empanada was a big no for me. Spinach salad was average but could have had a little more dressing. Off the dinner menu, had Medina Parisa which was good as were the chicken livers but there were absolutely no sides. This would be a good place to go for snacks, but definitely not for dinner. I frequently try different restaurants, so I can say...Cured...been there, done that, but wouldn't go back."

"We started with appetizers . . brisket ends, deviled eggs, meatballs with bacon. We ordered the combination Lord have mercy . It was great. there were multiple sauces to try traditional smokey bbq, chilpolte bbq, even a white bbq sauce made with mayonaisse and vinegar. The meal came with sides and we tried the Hoppin ' John because it sounded so interesting and different we would have never found that in Maryland! It is made with peas and rice and is a perfect match for the ribs! Probably anything! I am not a big fan of dry ribs but these ribs were perfect to try the sauces with. My favorite is the chilpolte. We all would definitely recommend this place and wish they would come to Maryland! The owner was visiting every table and we even got to meet the chef. We had a wonderful night with great food and a great atmosphere!"

"Made an OpenTable reservation with short-notice (20 minutes before) and got immediate confirmation. Arrived and found the restaurant mostly empty (being shortly after they opened), while OpenTable was only offering outdoor seating as unreserved in the given time slot. We were seated at a four-top in the sun when there were other outdoor, shaded four-tops vacant the whole time we were there. Seemed like the restaurant was responsive to, but also somewhat dismissive of patrons who are coming to them from OpenTable. Only one or two tables of patrons arrived in the hour that we were there, so it was pretty obvious that tables and times were nowhere near fully booked. The food taste and quality, atmosphere, table service, and value are all exceptionally outstanding, so we had an overall great experience. Nevertheless, I feel like there is a lot of room for improvement in conscientious and attentive accommodation for the comfort of patrons when offering reservation tables and time-slots."

"They update their menu every quarter, but don't update it on the website. We have food allergies so we read the menu before coming and knew we had options for both of us. But the menu we read wasn't the menu we found when we got there — and we were unable to put together a meal we could safely eat. We told our poor waiter (who also had to read the recipes to find out if something had potatoes in it — apparently no one in the kitchen could answer his questions) why we were leaving. He said we were the second people THAT evening with this same issue (menu on website not matching menu in restaurant and being an issues for people with allergies)."

"We ascended the hotel steps and elevators, were quickly seated at a little 2 person sofa with a direct view of a bit dumb building but a panoramic view that included the Capitol building, the marina, and the east potomac park. Most of the food items seem better suited for late evening less so for direct sunlight and 90 degree temperatures but the pretzel and dip situation was outstanding regardless. They were out of a number of drink items but the Old Fashioned and beer selections worked well. A few cocktails seemed a bit overdone not quite a balanced product in the end but no matter. The staff were friendly and attentive, the seating was varied and spread out nicely, and we enjoyed our 90 minutes."

"Went here for the first time tonight and was delighted that they had an entire vegan menu highlighted on their main menu. We each had one of the ramen dishes and both we're really good. We even had the additional noodles at the end to help finish our broth. The wait staff was helpful in explaining all of the options available and making sure the spice levels were just right."

"Great atmosphere and service. Good food. Got the Bouillabaisse Market Catch (halibut) with a decaf [coffee] “espresso” martini, which was delicious. Halibut was moist tender with great sear and Parmesan crust. Bouillabaisse had almost a chili-like flavor with lots of corn and different seafood, was delicious as well a little different from Bouillabaisse I’ve had elsewhere. Overall, very good experience. Would recommend."

"I LOVED Dixie! First impressions matter and Dixie did not disappoint . The rocking chairs out front are a cute touch! It gives the perfect feel of southern charm in the city. You walk around to the side to enter the restaurant. The staff was so warm and friendly. We were greeted by every server we passed--very impressive. We dined upstairs, so we were able to see the restaurant in it 's entirety. The decor is beautiful and trendy! We started with drinks. I would recommend the Hurricane and the James River--both delicious! For dinner, we had the Table Burger with fries (unbelievably good), hush puppies, deviled eggs and the pork shoulder. The portions are perfect since they 're shareable. I 'm definitely going back!"

"We were greeted by the hostess promptly and shown to a seat in the bar where we could wait for our friends. There we were waited on promptly by the bartender . We ordered drinks and my husband ordered the she crab soup which was amazing. When our friends arrived , we were promptly shown to our table. A person arrived at our table and poured water for us each. I thought he was the water boy. 25 minutes passed before anyone else approached our table. And then, only because we asked the hostess why we were not being waited on. Turns out the “water boy” was our waiter. Anyway, I ordered the short ribs, which were also, amazing. I would definitely return. And hope our server is someone other than “ the water boy”."

"Our son and daughter in law recommended we grab brunch at Blue Mabel during a recent Florida trip to visit them and our grandson. We were not disappointed!Located in Santa Rosa Beach, Blue Mabel is a unique find with fantastic food and drinks. We initially sat outside but moved inside due to the heat. Our waiter was more than accommodating. Before we moved indoors, all five of us shared two orders of Bonuts . These were so moist and very tasty. They are decadent tasting balls and arrived on an oblong dish and were about 1 to 2 inches in diameter. They came four to a dish and sat in a dollop of hibiscus berry jam. They were dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with a mild lemon cream sauce. So very good. I really liked the texture of the jam in conjunction with the Bonuts as I could taste the seeds in the jam. We all ordered drinks: I ordered an orange juice Mimosa, my wife ordered the cocktail Pardon Me Dolly which consisted of vodka, strawberry puree, and lemon juice with a sugared rim. Our daughter ordered the Blue Mountain **** Mary , which consisted of vodka, Blue Mabel 's smokehouse mary mix, pickled okra, chicharron, bacon, pork belly, and burnt brisket ends with a sriracha salted rim. She said it was absolutely fantastic. We may have ordered a second round... ; )After moving inside, our main courses arrived. I ordered the Wake Up Burger which consisted of 2 short rib brisket patties, cheddar cheese, griddled onions, pickles, an over easy egg, smoked bacon and hollandaise. It was served on a brioche roll with french fries. Absolutely fantastic. My wife and daughter both ordered the Cowgirl Keto Bowl and added brisket burnt ends. Their dish came with crispy Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, garlic roasted peppers, roasted greens (I believe kale), grilled avocado, and sunny side eggs. They both loved their orders.This was a great experience shared with family and highly recommended. Our waiter was attentive but not overly so and graciously tended to our ask to move inside to escape the heat.Highly recommended!!"

"Ruth was amazing! It was a busy morning and almost every table sat. Ruth handled the breakfast rush with so much grace. Although the restaurant was very busy, it didn’t feel it because the service was timely, she came around plenty of times to make sure we had everything we needed. Just watching Ruth handle all the requests from every table with a smile on her face, made this such a nice experience. The food was great as well."

"Absolutely outstanding! So loved the vibe, decor, energy and a trip to New Orleans in Watertown! The food was just excellent as was the service. We shared the shrimp, loaded baked potato and BBQ shrimp and I was happy I didn't have to share the catfish tacos because I wanted them all to myself! I did take a sip of the clam chowder that my husband so enjoyed! The only thing I will do differently next time is space out the entrees since they come out pretty quickly. I can't wait to go back with friends and for another date night. Way to go and HIgh Five to the Buttermilk Bourbon team!!!!"

"We drove down from Columbia to Charleston and met friends who came into Charleston from Houston. Magnolia's was the perfect place to renew this 50 years plus friendship. The menu options helped us feel the culture of Southern cuisine at its best. Our server was personable and highly efficient… we did enjoy dessert also, but immediately walked a few blocks to enjoy freshly made pralines… it has been a very good day thanks to Magnolias and good friends."

"Been coming to this spot since before they went under new management. I am pleased with the new updates! They feature new and rotating pastries everyday ! Fresh sandwiches and build your own breakfast sandwiches. Each week they still have light specials and SO MANY flavor options…When I brought my friend, I know she asked about the pop tarts but the barista mentioned that they no longer have as much staffing/pastry chef in house. Honestly, they weren’t super amazing to begin with but I’m glad they’re still able to provide new treats. Plus, you can get a coffee as a combo for under $10 !I enjoy the counter order only…. It makes for more of a coffee shop experience and less stress of finding a server to order something. Just order and sit down ! As an introvert this is such a relief :)Will come back soon !"
