"Dinner was great. The problem was that the restaurant apparently had forgotten that they were continuing to accept reservations thru open table. When we arrived we were told there were no tables. They were surprised that I had a reservation. At first they refused to believe that anyone could have a reservation in spite of me showing them the confirmation on my phone. Then they said because open table is a third party reservation system it is not the fault of the restaurant. After all this denial of responsibility they finally apologized and said they would figure things out as as soon as possible, which is all they needed to do from the get go. A table opened up almost immediately so in the end we had to wait no time but they could have diffused the situation by handling it differently"
