"It's sad to say Roti has gone way downhill in the past two years. I used to eat here upwards of once a week but COVID forced me from being a downtown regular diner. I came back here for the first time in a while and the experience has changed dramatically. The chicken roti was burned a bit and overcooked/charred with burnt/bitter edges. The amazing purple pickled cabbage has been replaced with what might as well be a bag of cabbage from the grocery store. The seasoned cucumber/tomato salad garnish is gone. The hummus isn't the same. The employees are flat of affect and clearly don't want to be there. It's so sad to see one of my longtime favorites mail it in. I imagine I'll give Roti another chance at some point but this was really disappointing."

"The service at this restaurant continues to be disappointing. Even when you place an order in advance, it’s seldom ready on time, and there's always a chance it won’t be what you actually ordered. The staff frequently changes, and many of them seem visibly frustrated to be there and engage with customers. It's perplexing how management hires individuals who lack personality and exhibit such indifference towards their jobs. This is truly disappointing because Roti does offer good food, and the location is quite convenient. Management really needs to make some significant changes."

"I hadn’t been to this restaurant in quite some time, mainly because of the changes to the menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see Ariana! (I hope I spelled her name correctly.) When I first returned, I felt a bit let down by the completely overhauled menu and was even thinking about leaving. But Ariana encouraged me to try the new offerings. She took the time to explain each dish to me, assuring me, “The options are different, but the taste is still the same.” That convinced me to stay! Ariana’s customer service is truly exceptional. I really appreciate how she greets every customer as soon as they arrive, and her constant smile makes a significant impact. I am grateful for her efforts in keeping me a loyal customer of Roti! Thank you, Ariana, for your genuine kindness in every interaction!"

"It's nice that Roti's is open until on weekdays so if you work in the loop and have to stay late at the office, you can grab dinner. Most fast food joints in the Loop don't stay open this late. So Roti's is good for that. But honestly, unless you're in a hurry or are trapped in the Loop and Roti's is your only option, skip this place. Their offerings are mediocre at best. This Roti location is in the theatre district so if you're in the area b/c you're seeing a show, forget Roti's, catch a cab and head to Greek Town which is just across the river at Adams Halsted (about a mile away). If you're vegetarian, go to any Greek restaurant and order the vegetarian moussaka for some melt in your mouth deliciousness you won't soon forget. If you're vegan, go to Karen's on Green. Karen's on Green is an upscale vegan restaurant (not a Greek restaurant) which happens to be located in Greek Town. If you're new to town, tell the cabbie to take you to Adams Halsted. That's the middle of Greek Town. Halsted is restaurant row. You can walk up and down Halsted, check out the restaurants and menus and find one you like."

"I have been a customer for many years and generally, I've been satisfied with my experiences. However, during my visit to the location on Meacham Rd in Schaumburg today, I noticed a couple of changes that disappointed me. Firstly, they've switched to smaller takeout plates. Additionally, I ordered the least expensive meal on the menu and received a plate that was only half full. When I asked the staff member to add a little more salad to make it a complete meal, I was charged an extra $4 for “making my plate.” Really? You’re charging me $4 for just a spoonful of shredded carrots? That's quite disappointing."

"I had a disappointing experience with my recent order. After requesting delivery, the staff refused to prepare a single bowl for me. It seems like there is a lack of common sense and competence among the employees. During the COVID pandemic, delivery drivers kept your doors open, and this is the appreciation we receive in return? I wasted both time and gas driving to pick up orders that the restaurant hadn’t even started to prepare. I advise against ordering from Roti; they are not friendly toward delivery drivers. I have also officially filed a complaint with UberEats, as this has been a recurring issue at Roti."

"The food is tasty, but I've observed that the portions of protein have been shrinking. Sometimes, it feels like I'm not even getting a full scoop, with the protein just spread out on the plate to give the impression of a larger serving. Whenever I request extra, I'm hit with an additional charge, and I wish they would simply offer a full scoop without the extra fee. The service is hit-or-miss; in the mornings, the staff makes you feel hurried, while in the afternoons, they often seem to treat you like a burden. It's quite disappointing."

"Recently, my family and I dined at Roti Modern Mediterranean restaurant. The place had a charming and clean atmosphere, very simple yet welcoming. We were greeted promptly, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We always seek out restaurants that prioritize healthy food, as I'm not a fan of mass-produced meals. The three of us chose a variety of dishes from the menu, and our meals arrived quickly and were beautifully presented. We were all extremely satisfied not only with our choices but also with the quality of the food. The prices were reasonable considering the experience. I particularly enjoyed my meal; the Salmon Green Goddess was fantastic! We will definitely return."

"When I order Uber I just want to be able to order a bowl of chicken like for 5 scoops of chicken and I can't!.. I have to get the stupid saffron rice or the stupid cauliflower thing and then what happens if 90% of the bowl is just rice. I don't want that… I want like just chicken.. I don't want to order with spinach or other leavs because then the bowl is 90% spinach or other leaves. Just adjust ur uber menu to give me your chicken or Im not coming back!"
