"we came to winnfield for onkel earls hog dog trials from florida we wanted to eat an authentic lousianan. Linda’s came up, we checked the menu before we thought it was a good idea to try this place after we spent the whole day on the fair grounds. when we arrived, there was perhaps 1 other group there, but it was not busy definitiw (not surprisingly for us, considering that it is a small city.) we were greeted as soon as we came in. the first sight we could say that the place was never busy. we needed our drinks to check the menu. my friend ordered chicken waffeln 17), friend 1 ordered land fried steak, friend 2 ordered a roast beef po’ young I ordered a garnelen po’ young. on the menu specifically for the shrimp pop’ boy is said “4 jumbo shrimp”. we all come from golf front cities, so a jumbo garnelen is really a jumbo (I am talkin palm size.) it took a long time until we got our food that we did not turn out from the waiting period (maybe 20 minutes) because we knew that our food was fresh. when the chickens were finally coming, my friend ordered very* overwhelming. we thought maybe a bumper, a thigh a nicely cooked waffle. the waffel was over boiled, burned, crispy for huh he got 2 small chicken pliers. my Po’ young had 4, normal size garnel. my friend who ordered the bratbeef po’ young had over boiled bratbeef. the only one who had no problem was my friend who ordered the chicken steak. we all ate, friend at his waffel has not even touched the hawn (not to blame him) once it came to pay time, they did not bring us the bill, so I rose up to find out how we paid at the time when I got the bill, everything was $68 total. unbelievable. I brought it to the workers they only compose the chickens. we had great hopes for the restaurant we just give up."

"BIG FAT ZERO truthfully. READ ALL COMMENTS ABOUT SEAFOOD BEFORE GOING HERE! IM NOT LYING! THEY DO NOT CARE. AND IT SHOWS! Worst crawfish we have ever had in our lives. Took just over 45 mins to get our food.. only 1 other table and half that table had their food already.. Servers were okay. Not friendly enough to even get a tip. Like they were just doing their job attitude. We literally ate like 3 or 4 crawfish each. Then when we told them we were unsatisfied(after spending just over $200 on crawfish for 4 people), the two little girls trying to man a restaurant without adult supervision, refused a refund and management ignored our calls for weeks. We were hung up on... several times. We were lied to about the managements names, told us the management would call, and everything. We are from Louisiana and we know heated up next day crawfish. This place is a seafood scam. I 'm surprised they are allowed to service seafood the way they do. Let an inspector come in one day and order. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME! TOO EXPENSIVE TO BE THAT DISGUSTING AND REHEATED! They are only concerned with taking your money. They do not care about their customers nor your satisfaction. They did NOTHING to try and fix this error on their end. I would tell the owners to their face just how f 'd up their business is.. the other food may be good, as per the comments but reading the comments about the other people with seafood issues, service issues and owner issues, I 'd say most of the comments are for their non seafood items. I tell everyone about this place and how awful the food and service is. Just beware of DU Nastee!"

"The oysters on the half shell, however, are outstanding! The cocktail sauce is fine, but it would be preferable to provide the ingredients so patrons can mix their own—think ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, lemon juice, and horseradish for the standard version, and perhaps a bit of mayo for a Creole twist. I also found the steamed vegetables puzzling; why season them with something spicy? They should just be cooked in butter! I am a fan of heat, but not when it comes to my steamed veggies. As for the gumbo, it’s far from authentic—tasteless with a blonde roux, which makes me wonder if it’s from a package. If cooking a proper roux is too challenging, just buy it pre-made! The dirty rice was also disappointing, extremely dry and lacking any form of liver. I wouldn’t recommend it at all; I experienced the same unpleasant dish three times. The fried seafood was decent, but I’m hesitant to try the jambalaya or gettuff given the poor quality of the gumbo and dirty rice. There’s definitely room for improvement in the kitchen. They need to look for authentic Cajun recipes for dishes like rubber bears and dirty rice, or perhaps hire a true Cajun chef! The drinks are adequate but there aren't many options for those who don’t drink beer, especially considering the prices. It’s nice to have Jameson or Jack, but I’d appreciate a bourbon option as well. After four visits, I’d rate this restaurant three stars. I’ll likely keep coming back for the oysters, but I'll probably stick to fish dishes. I didn't check out the other side where the billiards and live music are, so I can't comment on that aspect."
