"Last Friday, I stopped by at 11 AM during my lunch break. It was busy, but not overly crowded. I tried to order my Bird of Paradise Salad again, but they were out of salad mix. I was caught off guard and had to quickly find an alternative for my lunch, especially since I was also ordering for someone else. I selected two paninis and asked for soup, only to find out they had no soup available either. I told them I’d be back in 15 minutes to pick it up, paid, and then went next door for something I needed.
When I returned to collect my order, the line was out the door. I approached the counter for pickups but was told I needed to go back to the main line to get my order. I expressed that we usually pick up our orders here, but he insisted I had to wait in line. The line was incredibly long and barely moving, so after about five minutes, I decided to approach the cashier and ask if he could just hand me my bag since it was right behind him. To my disbelief, he informed me that I needed to wait in line to retrieve my food.
At that point, I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to wait and still get back to work, let alone eat. I pleaded with him to just grab my food since it was so close, but he remained firm about his policy. Frustrated and without a viable lunch option, I ended up leaving—losing both my money and my co-worker's money in the process. It's disheartening because I really wanted to support local businesses, but I won’t be returning."
