"We had a 5pm reservation, parked got up to the outside gate where we couldn’t enter until 5pm exactly. It was raining cold there was a small line forming to also wait. Some people w/a toddler baby in a carrier finally went store got a cocktail while they waited. We wanted to go back our car to wait but it was raining we parked a ways away. We would have all gotten drinks the bar if we were allowed in. It set the tone of frustration rt off the bat. Once inside our waitress was very courteous  did a wonderful job describing the menu since we were 1st timers. The food service made up for the wait outside in the rain on Christmas Eve."

"My oh my! So I’m from TX and pretty opinionated about BBQ. This place nailed it! Highly recommend the lamb ribs. Seriously give them a shot. Beef burnt ends best the pork burnt ends in my opinion. We went on a Sunday at around 1pm and there was a few people ahead of us. They said 25 min wait . So make reservations if you come at a busy time. We sat at the bar and sat right down so all good. Service and atmosphere perfect. Theres a parking garage right across from it with free parking. This is a top notch BBQ place!"

"This is one of my favorite BBQ place in Kansas City area. This is a very well known local BBQ restaurant. I normally ordered pick 3 meats and it was enough to feed 2 people for just $27 with 2 sides. The burnt end is always the best. The lamb was super tender and juicy, it used to be a part of pick 3 , but now it costs $5 for the lamb. They also have the best bake bean ever that I couldn 't find the same at anywhere else. The amount of meat and bean was less than 2 years ago since the last time I 've been to. They always busy, even though it 's Monday."

"everything about this place was excellent from ambiente to eating and even waiting staff. I ordered the pulled schweinemac and cheese that came out in an ENORMOUS part and was the most creamy mac and cheese I've ever had. of smokey taste of drawn pork, it was really an experience. I also ordered her **** mary to supplement my meal and it was so delicious. the tomato taste was accompanied by a slightly smoky taste that completely surprised me. this delicious concoction was filled by no other than drawn pork filled green olives that are heaven in and by themselves. if they are looking for a delicious kansas city bbq, they don't see."

"had a reservation and called 10 minutes before the reservation and two times, no answer; third time the phone was answered and we indicated we would be about 10 minutes late due to traffic. We were told our table was ready and waiting and it was not a problem. We knew we would make it in the 15 minute window but wanted to let the restaurant know. Got there and there was not a table and they tried to sit us outside in December. We were able to stay inside and squeeze into a booth. Took 30 minutes to get drinks, and 45 minutes to get food. They were out of ribs and brisket. We understand that times are tough with supply chain and serving staff; however, were disappointed about the reservation and not having a table for 8 ready when told it was......."

"This place is a hidden gem. I went in and was very hungry. You want to eat with your eyes. The workers are very friendly and helpful. When we finally decided we ordered beef brisket, rib and 1/4 chicken special, corn bread, collard greens (have bits of meat), Mac and cheese, rib tip sandwich, and I can't remember what other rib style. The meat has a delicious dry rub. The pineapple Ace is really good if you like sweet. The lady working on the floor was really nice and helped us with sauces. You try the ghost pepper sauce if you dare. The sauce gives your meal and extra kick but you don't have to. They play nice music also. I will be coming back with the rest of my family. Sooo... delicious!"

"This visit did not meet the usual standards I've come to expect. It seems that the restaurant is experiencing a staffing shortage, similar to many others at the moment. We waited over an hour for our salads. Although our order was taken within the first 10 minutes, it was handled by a different server about 45 minutes later. The food was acceptable, but not as good as during my previous visits. I would still recommend this restaurant, as I believe this was an isolated incident. However, I found it odd that the servers did not offer dessert or any other form of compensation, especially since they were clearly aware of the delay."

"I would recommend rail bar bites only with the cave to have nothing planned after eating. the service was achingly slow. we originally had reservations at 6:30 a.m., but were early (5:30 a.m.) so we decided to start drinks. it was not busy so we knew that eating before our reservation would not be a problem. the server was new and was not familiar with the menu. water was not brought to the table, so we had to go into the bar to ask him and got a pitcher and two glasses. we ordered arancini as an appetizer. I have a French bath and my daughter has the wooden board. the arancini was so. not much taste. the French dip and the charcuterie were very good, but it took so long to reach us and there were not many people there. When that finally came, we paid and asked to go boxing at the same time. we had no time to spare ourselves as we had tickets for a show that started in 15 minutes."

"For dinner, we went with the mac and cheese topped with roasted chicken, and it was incredibly delicious. We also ordered the Chicken Tinga Tacos, which were quite good, but my only real critique is that they shouldn't add green paprika to them, as it detracted from the other wonderful flavors. My friend let me sample her General Tso's Cauliflower served over roasted rice, and it was so tasty that I plan to order it on my next visit. We brought our own games to enjoy, but their selection is impressive and offers a great variety. The restrooms were clean, and honestly, probably the nicest smelling bathrooms I've encountered in a while. The service was good, and they include a 15% service charge, which I appreciated.
