We brought it to the attention of the waitstaff, and she said she would fetch the host. Fortunately, I had some wipes in my handbag, so I took care of it myself. A gentleman at the neighboring table joked, "It’s a pity you have to clean it yourself, or you might get a discount for it," which made us all laugh.
About 15 minutes after we received our entrees, the waitress came over to check if we needed anything else and informed us that our meal had been covered by someone else. We were completely taken aback by this gesture from a stranger. To that person, thank you very much for your kindness!"
