"My first time at Lou's was disappointing. I ordered the Lou ben (Reuben) sandwich my measure of a good sandwich shop. The sandwich looked gigantic, as it was served on half a sourdough loaf. I say loaf because it was waaay too big to be considered a roll. The inside of the sandwich was almost ice cold. Kraut was cold and the meat was cold although the cheese was somehow melted. The bread looked good, but was unpleasantly dry and crumbly. I let the staff know about the dry and crumbly bread, but didn't want them to remake the sandwich. I requested rye bread as a replacement and surprisingly they charged me for it.The sandwich, although cold, was much better on rye bread. Who knows why they wouldn't serve it on traditional rye bread as a default. The other ingredients were good. The place was clean and I'll likely give them another chance. I'd probably order the sandwich hot on rye bread."
