"They need to change their name to Prison City Restaurant instead of Prison City Brewing. We were in town visiting family and wanted a place to get a few drinks and talk. Every other brewery on the lakes, you walk in, order drinks and grab a table. This place apparently doesn't want to accommodate you if you only want drinks and not food. We told the hostess we just wanted drinks and she said we could sit at the bar or wait for a table. Since we didn't want to sit 5 across the bar where we wouldn't be able to talk to each other, we decided to wait for a table. Once sat, our server immediately came over and pushed us every way he could to either sit at the bar or per his recommendation go downstairs to their cocktail lounge, as he didn't want to lose a table to people that were not ordering food. We understood where he was coming from so decided to go downstairs to the lounge. A few of us waited down there while the others ordered beer flights at the bar. Once we carried it down there, we were told we couldn't sit down there because we didn't order down there. Well if our server or hostess would have told us that, we would have ordered down there. Plus downstairs is a VERY limited menu with only a few beers and no flights. It's more for cocktails, not beer, even though they claim to be a brewery. So back upstairs we went. I asked if we could sit at the hightop tables right in front of the bar, but lo and behold, those are also reserved for food ordering customers. So our only option was to be banished to the front corner of the restaurant where people sit and wait for tables when it's busy. How can you be a brewery but have absolutely no place in your entire establishment to sit and drink beer?!? At least have a few tables in the bar area for that!! Will definitely stick to the real breweries on the lakes going forward."
