"On my first visit, I tried the green chicken enchiladas. The enchiladas themselves were fantastic, but the rice left something to be desired. I ordered charro beans but received pinto beans instead. I believe authentic charro beans, which come in a bowl with various ingredients and a savory broth, would be a hit. The ones I had were dry and lacking in flavor.
During my second visit, I opted for the braised short rib with avocado, and I must say, it was incredibly delicious—no complaints there!
On my third visit, I ordered the red chile chicken enchiladas and requested roasted corn instead of beans. The rice remained untouched, and the corn had very little flavor—just a hint of green onion. I think using sweet corn or adding more flavorful ingredients could really enhance the dish.
I noticed that Blanco doesn't seem to attract many Mexican diners, which isn't a critique, just an observation. It’s interesting and perhaps telling given the restaurant's name.
The ambiance of the place is pleasant and clean, and the bar has an inviting look. I also really appreciated the service.
