"The location is excellent, one block from the beach and the boardwalk. This was THE hotel in its day (built in 1929). It has some many wonderful historic details left. The staff was very friendly and nice, and gave great local tips for restaurants and things to do. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Be sure to take advantage of the rooftop bar!Looking at past reviews before we booked this hotel, we noticed many complaints regarding the lifts. I would like to clarify that in general, the lifts are not slow; they run at any other pace a lift from the 1929 would. These are not lighting fast like a modern skyscraper or building but like any older building. However, there is an issue right around check out time, as everyone is making their way to the lobby and the lifts are very crowded and it does indeed take a while to catch one with space in it. We only had our backpacks so we took the stairs after waiting ten minutes or so with no success. I know other hotels have solved this issue and it would behoove The Claridge to see how others hotels have solved this issue. Many guests are soured by this experience, which is a shame as this is a great hotel. The pool was refreshing but their staff are not pool and spa people and it shows. The water was quite cloudy and the pump needs adjusting as it is not powerful enough to circulate the water properly.Rooms: Room was very nice and the bed was super comfy.Safety: We walked around at night at, although we felt mostly safe, there are a lot of homeless people nearby sleeping on benches and in the park. Just be aware of your surrounding, like any city."

"Isabella's on Lincoln Road, Miami Beach As a seasoned restaurant critic for the likes of Conde Nast, I've had the privilege of dining in some of the world's most acclaimed establishments. Yet, every so often, I discover a gem that leaves an indelible mark on my culinary journey. Isabella's on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach is one such treasure. From the moment my party of four stepped into Issabella's, we were greeted by Victor and his team then enveloped in an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. The restaurant exudes a sophisticated charm, with its tastefully curated decor and panoramic views of the bustling Lincoln Road. The soft, ambient music in the background added a layer of tranquility to the vibrant Miami scene outside. Our gastronomic adventure began with the Pesto Rigatoni. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, each strand coated in a vibrant, fresh pesto that was a delightful dance of flavors on the palate. The dish was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, where each ingredient was allowed to shine. The Chicken Bowl was a hearty and satisfying dish. The chicken, cooked to perfection, was tender and juicy, while the accompanying vegetables added a welcome crunch. This dish was a symphony of textures and flavors, making each bite a unique experience. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the Spicy Pasta was a revelation. The pasta, cooked perfectly al dente, was tossed in a spicy sauce that left a pleasant warmth in your mouth. The heat of the sauce was beautifully balanced by the freshness of the tomatoes and the richness of the parmesan. The Prosciutto Barata was a standout dish. The saltiness of the prosciutto paired beautifully with the creaminess of the Barata, while the fresh tomatoes added a burst of freshness. Yet, what truly sets Isabella's apart is not just its exceptional food, but the impeccable service. Especially Victor and his staff at Isabella's were attentive and went above and beyond!"
