"Remember, it's a diner!. As a college student, I've eaten my fair share of diner food. Sams has always been my favorite though. I used to eat dinner there often because I lived near by. It's incredibly cheap and the portions are huge. The staff is always friendly and they treat regulars really nicely. Remember though, it's a diner it's not a five star restaurant. The menu ranges from Greek to America. The Gyros are awesome, the cheeseburgers are ENORMOUS and the club sandwhich is enough to split between two people. The omelets are really huge too, but my favorite for breakfast are the breakfast croissants. Honestly, everything I've ever tried there has been good. The only compliant I've ever heard (from my boyfriend) was that the gravy for the beef strogenoff was too salty and not what he expected. I can't remember the exact statement, but he wasn't happy with it. We sent it back and they took it off the bill and made him something else without complaint."

"DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.Ordered from here and when I called, they told me I called the Orland Park location. I looked the number up again on their own website and dialed in manually. Got the same person and they confirmed the address that I intended on reaching. I go to pick up the food and the person at the register said my name was in the system but not the order and that the order must be at a different location. Absolutely ridiculous after I was given a price and time and everything. I called the same number right as I was leaving and they answered right in front of me.Total LIARS that just don't feel like making your food when you order it apparently. Do NOT give this place your business!!!"

"Order lunch from this place periodically. The food is not consistent. Sometimes it is amazing, sometimes it’s just alright.One somewhat annoying part is that you don’t always get charged the same price for the same thing. Sometimes it is about a $1 or $2 more than in the menus. Not a huge deal, but it is kind of annoying. You don’t know if the person overcharging you by mistake, because they don’t remember the correct price or if that’s done on purpose. A $1 or 2 on a $10 order is 10-20% difference. Other than that, this place is OK for occasional ordering."

"I just received a deep dish pizza and an appetizer platter, and I'm really disappointed. The platter was burnt, and the deep dish pizza resembled a regular pizza cut into triangles with some sauce thrown on top. I won't be ordering from them again. I used to love Barraco's, but this is the second time I've wasted my money here. I wish I could share pictures of my deep dish because I’ve had it from EP, and it was about three times the size of this thin pizza."

"Was there for a surprise birthday party. The chicken and beef was very good and the bartender made a fantastic Old Fashion! Parking: Parking was a little ambiguous....there is a banquet hall next door with a parking lot between them and Barraco's. The lot isn't marked as to which establishment the parking is for. I parked on a side street."

"Got our food to go. Food we got was great but found that a few items were missing. When we finally noticed I called right away. Our server answered and remembered that she had forgotten our dessert. Unfortunately that wasn't the only thing missing. We ordered the smoked meat sampler and also ordered an extra half pound of smoked brisket. Not only were we missing our dessert but also the extra half pound of brisket. Our server said she would have to connect us with someone who could help us. She got on the line and said we were never changed for our desert. If I go by the price of the sampler and the half pound of brisket then we paid for the desert!! Luckily she asked if we could come then or leave a message for the people on staff tomorrow. I didn't want to go but Patty said she would go so she went and picked it up. Update: well, had to change the review again after my wife got home. It seems that they gave us our dessert but didn't correct the missing brisket issue!!! After spending over $100.00 you would think that they would fix the problem but apparently they would just rather think of us as liars and only fix the dessert problem rather than take care of $15.00 worth of missing meat!! This is not the way to keep customers happy. I have never had a problem until today and after today will probably never go back!! Really sad since I have never complained about this place in the times that we've been there until now. I think it shows how much they care about correcting the situation. In these times with everything going on you would think that they would want to keep every customer happy!! No one can afford to lose customers in this economy!! Too bad because I really like their food!!"

"Wow! At first glance, I thought this was hole in the wall and was skeptical to try it but I am so glad I did. The food was excellent!! My husband ordered the double decker turkey BLT and it was huge. The picture might no do it justice. My husband normally does not have an issue finishing his meal but he struggled with this and left half of the fries. He really enjoyed the sandwich. I ordered the Capri salad because I wasn't super hungry and wanted something on the lighter side. It was so much bigger than I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed it and my only recommendation would be to put a little more of the balsamic dressing on it. We also ordered garlic balls for an appetizer. Again, the portion was large. They came out with fresh grated parmesan and had wonderful flavor. We had to take them back to the hotel room because it was too much to finish. This place is only 10 minutes off the strip and I would highly recommend anyone stop by. The food and service were excellent!"

The place is actual ran by some Turkish immigrants, I had the gyro and my companion had the cob salad, we had cheesey garlic bread and deep fried mushrooms for appetizers. "Haven't been at this diner for nearly 8 years due to wait times and food issues but because it's been this long and it was early Sunday, I figured it was time to give another chance! It was around 7:45am by the time we arrived and thankfully; not many customers were there. We waited 5 minutes for seating. Once there we were greeted in timely manner, got our drinks but waited almost 15 minutes for food order to be taken. I waived down staff who then 5 minutes later got our orders done and food arrived after. Waited again nada so I got take out boxes myself from another waitress Didnt see our waitress until bill was placed. I truly under short staffing but you always make even a few seconds for any customer! Other then that the food was a much nicer portion then in the past and much better tasting then past! I do recommend Sunrise Diner for breakfast if you're not in a rush . I will be updating this review with lunch/dinner in near future!"

"This was my first time ordering their salad, and I found it to be extremely watery. On my second visit, I called ahead and requested that they dry out the salad due to my previous experience. However, I ended up only being able to eat about 50% of it because it was still very watery. It seems like whoever is preparing these salads doesn't understand how to make a good salad or what it should taste like. They seem more focused on making money than on providing quality food. I would recommend looking for a different place for salads."
