I go there not only for the Bagels, but for the service. Lola, Joe and the rest of the team are always friendly and remember my name, my face and order every time I visit. And they are always superbusy, for obvious reasons, but still customer service. My mother-in-law lives in Central New York and demands (not really) that I bring her a dozen BBB each time. When birthdays and mother's day come, it would be much more a dozen Bloomfield Best Bagels than a dozen roses."

"We had a really good time here. Everyone speaks Spanish, which is a little tough for a gringa like me, but my husband speaks Spanish, and also our waiter spoke English to me. The menu is huge, so I got some help from the waiter and she suggested the chicken with onions, peppers, and cheese (pechuga monterrey) and it was very delicious, and was plenty to eat plus leftovers. My husband got the enchiladas Bandera which he said was tasty, although the cheese enchilada with cheese sauce was a little much--he wishes he would have chosen the meats instead of the default beef in the red sauce, chicken in green sauce, and cheese in cheese sauce. That being said, he really enjoyed the chicken in green sauce. There was a little band that sang live, which was fun, but they were very near our table so that the volume was too loud. They only played a few songs before moving on, though. The decoration and lighting is all out in this place. We'll be back."

"When I arrived at the restaurant to return the food, the doors were locked, but a kind gentleman let me in and tried to process the refund. Unfortunately, he seemed unsure of how to handle it and asked a coworker for assistance. This is when I encountered the young woman, who turned out to be the daughter of the person who had yelled at me earlier. Both she and her mother verbally harassed me, and I was ultimately chased out of the building and physically confronted by the daughter. It’s one thing to receive undercooked food, but to be subjected to such unprofessional treatment and abuse as a customer is unacceptable. I called the restaurant in a friendly manner, hoping to resolve the issue, and previously, I had enjoyed dining there with my family for breakfast without any problems. However, the takeout service has been unreliable, and I hadn’t addressed it until now. Will I return? Absolutely not. I wish them the best, but I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience."

You are served one relleno as big as a fat burrito. The flavor combinations are unlike the average relleno in other Mexican restaurants. Do not pass up tasting the moles. "I always order the al carbon street tacos, and they are fantastic! They come with beans only, so I usually get a side of rice. I realize that's a common upselling strategy used by restaurants. The beans are tasty, but I've noticed they now contain a lot of pork fat. The dining area is clean, and the service is quick."

"A few nights ago, I had dinner with my best friend in the bar area of our favorite restaurant. We’ve dined here before and enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. This time, we were served by Becca, who was incredibly attentive and polite. We absolutely adored her! We even requested to speak with her manager to commend her on her outstanding service. The manager recognized us from our previous visits, which was nice. With both of us having experience in the restaurant industry, we know quality service when we see it. We also want to shout out to Juan, the manager. He’s exemplary at his job, always going above and beyond to assist both guests and staff, whether it’s helping the hostesses or bartenders. "My wife and I love eating in local restaurants, and the Speckled Egg used to be one of our favorites. It was a great little hole-in-the-wall-local restaurant. The egg offered simple food, reasonable portions and good prices, combined with a outgoing, friendly and competent staff. We loved it and were regular breakfast patrons for years. They're the only store at all near me that sells Ener-G Egg Replacer, a must-have for vegans. They have every supplement known to man, delicious veggie-friendly entrees, and even makeup that hasn't been tested on our animal friends.
