"A completely dishonest 5-star rating! The food was amazing for all 4 of us who met for brunch. The cocktails were on site and the service was friendly and competent. I had the Corned Beef Hash that was as far from the normal Diner version as you can imagine. The picture shows more, but these were large pieces of fresh corned beef, potatoes and vegetables, with perfectly fried eggs on the side. I also asked for Hollandaise sauce on the side, and I highly recommend that it creamy, perfectly seasoned, and delicious! The hash was tastier when the image can convey. My wife had no joke about the old Grains salad, which was presented on the plate as an art piece, see the picture! For vegetarians this is a heavenly dish, and for those who are not, it is definitely worth trying. We also had several cocktails, including the Blueberry mule, the Moimosa and the Irish coffee. Trust me when I say that everything you order will be amazing. You need to make reservations to come, believe me, do it and experience this place. It's fantastic! We come back and try some other articles."

"Wonderful experience at The Wine Loft with friends. I had won an auction item through supporting St. Matthew’s House. The package was gifted from The Wine Loft. It was a 4 Course Chef diner with wine pairings for a party of 6. Manager, Trey set us up outside which we loved. Vintner, Alberto educated us on the different wines and why they were chosen to compliment our courses. Thank you to all for a fun, memorable evening!"

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"Tasty Italian food! We stopped by for lunch and had an enjoyable time. There is indoor and outdoor dining available, but we opted for indoor since it was pretty hot outside. The restaurant was not very busy when we were here which was great, it was a more intimate, relaxing environment. Pros: Tasty food and well priced! Both were great! They also brought out bread with olive oil to start that had some spices and Parmesan (so good . The capellini was fresh and flavorful, and the panini was also tasty. The sandwiches come with a side of fries or cold pasta salad. Although we ordered the fries, they accidentally brought it out with pasta salad instead, but apologized and brought us out a side of fries. (The fries were great! Would recommend stopping by for dinner or for lunch!"

"Prices are outrageous for what you get. There is also a little note on the menu that they will add an additional on your check due to the minimum wage increase! There are so many good restaurants around there that are not that pricey and the food is better than what we had at this restaurant. It used to be really good. The waitress was very attentive but I think there needs to be major changes before we would ever return."

"Beautiful set up and ambiance. Though we had a reservation and the restaurant was almost empty, the hostess insisted to seat us at the very end next to the open kitchen. Probably because we are a family with kids (youngest is 10). Later we saw she sat one person at a 4-seat table next to a front window. The salmon was so good but tiny and laid in a pool of oil. Pizzas were just okay. Disappointing."

"We went on Monday night and we were both amazed at the service and the great attitude of the wait staff. Michelle was great! As it was my birthday I was greeted with a card signed by all the staff. Nice touch. We started with David's salad which was light and sweet with a fruity dressing. My wife had the escargot and raves about how good it was. My wife had the filet Oscar that came perfect to the table at medium rare. I had the bouillabaisse which was excellent. No room for dessert but we were served two chocolate macarons (and one with a candle in it!! . Great restaurant and we will definitely be back."

"Delicious food but the wait time for the food to come out was insanely long. We came during a weekday and we thought we were lucky to get a table for 3 around 7PM, but the whole meal was about 1 1/2 hours to get all the food on the table. They did give us some bread in advance. However we were very tired by the time we finished our meal. We ordered the roast duck, steak and cheese plate with honey comb. Everything was lovely, no complains on the food. I’ll back again for another meal with my friends, hopefully the food wait time would be shorter."

"As for the Benedict, it was underwhelming; the sauce was bland and didn't have any hint of lemon. The potatoes tasted like they had been frozen and then deep-fried, lacking any seasoning whatsoever. I wouldn't have bothered taking the leftovers home, but my date suggested we could season it and mix the two dishes, which actually turned out well. If you decide to visit this restaurant, be sure to bring your own garlic, seasoning salt, cayenne pepper, or any other spices to enhance the flavor!"

"The service was excellent, and the drinks were very good. We particularly enjoyed the tuna tartare appetizer, which was fantastic! My husband ordered the Osso Bucco; it was very tender, but it wasn't cut in the traditional style, and there was no gremolata served with the hollowed bone. I opted for the lobster gnocchi, which was so rich that I found it hard to eat much of it—not to mention the serving size was enormous! It really needed some acidity to balance out the richness. We were willing to give the restaurant another chance, but the combination of the disappointing food and the very loud dining room has led us to decide to skip Maxwells 148 the next time we go out for dinner."

"The food, beverages and service were excellent, and our table in the back looked into the garden...too bad it was a little chilly to dine outside. The only drawback was the noise level as there does not appear to be any soft surfaces to reduce the noise. We were seated next to a table of 6 or 7 and they were having lively conversation with lots of laughs. Nice folks but we were not unhappy when they finished. Reina was a good value and we'll go again when we come back to Frederic."

"We went for brunch on Saturday morning. Everything was amazing. Our waiter could not have been more personable or attentive. The service was spot on. The food was delicious…between the 3 of us we tried the huevos rancheros, the pastrami reuben, pancakes and cheesy grits. No complaints at all, in fact, far from it! My friend said it was one of the best reubens she had ever had! I had been to Metropolis a bunch of times for dinner but this was my first time for brunch. I will be back!!"

"This was our third visit to the restaurant. The first two experiences were outstanding, but last night was quite disappointing. The atmosphere is lovely, and our waitress was excellent, although she was a bit difficult to understand at times. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. My husband ordered the Salmon Pasta, but the salmon had a fishy taste and he felt it wasn't cleaned properly, as there was a slimy layer on top. I had the stuffed chicken, which I had enjoyed on previous visits, but it didn't measure up this time. The burrata with truffle oil in the caprese salad also fell short of our earlier experiences. Additionally, no salads are included with dinner; it's all à la carte and not inexpensive. I truly hope this restaurant thrives because it has all the potential to be great!"

"A last second decision to have a burger for lunch, plus a good friends ' recommendation led me to the Carriage House Inn, and I 'm happy it did.From the moment I walked in and encountered Linda at the hostess stand I knew this was the place for me. She was professional, with a great sense of humor. I hadn 't thought to make a reservation, so I called from the lobby to set one up (she got a kick out of that) and when she asked me what time, I looked at my watch and said, oh, right about now . Thankfully, they had plenty of available seats as they had just opened for lunch.Theresa was my server and recommended her favorite burger, a mushroom and swiss. I hadn 't come in thinking mushroom/swiss, but I 'm glad I took her advice, as the burger was juicy and fantastic. She was yet another lively part of this establishment with a great sense of humor.The Carrigae House Inn was lovely inside and out, not what I was expecting, and better than I could have hoped for in terms of the friendliness of the staff. I am certain locals know about this spot and come often, but as I was just in for lunch, it was an absolutely fantastic surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and intend to go back for another meal soon."
