"The 3rd or 4th visit to Ovation Bistro in Lakeland. I really cannot say enough good about this restaurant. Service is great! Our most recent server was Tyler. He was personable, happy and outgoing. We loved his acceptance and interaction with our group of 9 celebrating birthdays! Orders came out perfectly and without an extreme delay or wait. Even the 2 year old was served appropriately early and quickly! The food is excellent! So kudos to the chefs working the kitchen on a busy Friday night! The value is truly excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone in Lakeland looking for a great date night out, a family get together, a celebration place or just a great place to have dinner. Background music was not loud and we enjoyed many of the tunes and sang along with a few!! Thank you! Again and Again!"

"The portions were generous. The chicken could have used a bit more salt for flavor. The pineapple cake was tasty, but it was missing the cherry on top. The shrimp and fettuccine were excellent. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. However, they need to update their DoorDash menu; it doesn't indicate that the meat comes with noodles, which led me to mistakenly order a double portion of noodles. I could have opted for a nice salad instead, which is included for free. Unfortunately, the extra noodles ended up going to waste."

"We recently had Boss Hog come and do an on-site catering for a company event at our office. Everything was wonderful! Mark was very easy to work with and straight forward in the process. He was willing to answer every question we had for him in a timely manner.The food was a big hit! We have some harsh critics, Simon Cowell types, that are not very easily impressed. I had all of them come up to me and tell me they have never had pulled pork THAT good. It was extremely well seasoned and cooked to perfection.The rest of the food was equally amazing and left everyone stuffed and ready for a nap!! The sides can easily be overlooked at barbeque restaurants, but there were no weak links in these guys' menu. We had the cornbread, mac and cheese, country green beans, and coleslaw.If you are looking for catering options that will wow your guests, Boss Hog will do the trick! Consider having them cook on-site for your event for a unique experience.The guys showed me pictures of some of what they have to offer in-store which is a wider range of meals and sandwiches that were absolutely ridiculous in a good way. Though we did not personally go in store I am certain you wont be disappointed with their menu.Thank you Boss Hog! You guys were lovely and your food was fantastic!!"
