"I visited the BBQ Test Shack for the first time today, and it was just okay. The restaurant is quite small, lacking an indoor kitchen; you order at a window and can eat at two small tables on the porch. I tried the smoked turkey plate, and the turkey was fantastic. The mac and cheese was pretty good as well, but the baked beans tasted like they came straight from a can. My husband ordered the brisket plate, but the brisket was really dry and lacked flavor. He also had collard greens, which were sweet—definitely not how we're used to having them, so that was a bit off-putting. The sweet tea was rather bland, too. We attempted to eat on the porch, but yellow jackets kept landing on our food, prompting us to leave and finish our meal elsewhere. Additionally, the woman at the counter wasn't very friendly. I would consider returning just for the smoked turkey, but if it weren't so delicious, I might not bother coming back."
