"Rude and Racist owner (bald guy)Initially loved going here as they had some excellent sandwiches and straight up service nothing crazy. But as mentioned in other reviews, we have a problem with one of the owners. In a previous visit, my Spanish speaking relative and her sister was insulted by the owner being called the B word in Spanish and another customer was taken ahead of them."

"Oh my goodness! How did I go for over ten years without trying a sandwich from this amazing restaurant?! We ordered the avocado club (no mayo) and the Italian cold cut with all the fixings, and oh my gosh! I can't even begin to describe how delicious these sandwiches are – they blew my mind! They made me so incredibly happy that I even found myself dancing while eating. And why not?! My heart is so full and happy now that I've paired them with some jalapeño kettle chips. I felt like I was in heaven for the 15 minutes it took me to devour half of the avocado club. These sandwiches are huge, so you can either share them or save some for later. Thank you so much! <3"

"What an amazing buffet!! The price was $28.00 for 2 adults with drinks. I thought it seemed like a lot of money but it was well worth it! They have a salad, soup and potato buffet. They have a very wide selection of main courses including chicken, shrimp, BBQ pork, pot roast and steaks cooked to order. The side dishes were veggies, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, cabbage and much more. The dessert buffet had it all!! The chocolate cake was my favorite but they also offered bread pudding, brownies, apple crumb cake, cookies and a do it yourself ice cream bar. There were all types of toppings for the ice cream and it was delicious. Keep in mind that this is not the healthiest of foods. But if you are hungry, I can't think of a better place. The food was really, really good and the service was great. As we were leaving, I saw a sign for the breakfast buffet and I am looking forward to trying it! My only problem was that the bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. On the whole, it was AWESOME and we loved it. Bring your appetite!"

"My girlfriend and I had a lovely time here. Our waitress was so friendly and willing to adjust our meals to make them perfect for us. She was able to make nice conversation but was not overbearing and didn’t linger. She checked on us consistently for drinks and to see if we needed any help. She was quick when refilling drinks and was very knowledgeable of the menu and shared her own personal opinions on several menu items. The food itself was very good as well. I got the bacon cheeseburger with a side of the whiskey glaze at our waitresses suggestion dipping the sweet potato fries in the glaze was very good. We also got the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was satisfying but didn’t take away our appetite for the meal. Although we were there fairly close to closing, we never felt rushed and our waitress insisted that we take out time."

"I have always received good service at this restaurant, but this time I was disappointed to find that I was missing an egg in my order and they had substituted sourdough bread for rye. No one checked in to see if everything was okay with my breakfast. I have also found that the poached eggs here are consistently overcooked and flat. The menu has been scaled back due to the pandemic, and some of my favorite items are no longer available. I'll chalk it up to the current circumstances and give the restaurant another chance before looking elsewhere for a better dining experience."

"The appetizers were EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!! ( Brie Brulee unbelievably delicious!!!!!!!!!) The beet salad and garden salad was refreshingly cold,crisp, very tasty and a superb bite.The entrees? Not so much: Crab and shrimp pasta had succulent shrimp but the homemade rigatoni were NOT cooked..like eating raw dough. The Taziki sauce was UNDER everything on the Gyro Platte, and difficult to access in order to spread on the pita/meat/greens combo, and the meat was soft and crumbly, almost like poorly mixed meatloaf. The presentation of the gyro plate per se was eye-catching but the arrangement made it difficult to assemble everything.The salmon was awesome, as were the potatoes and beets, but the greens under everything were too chewy and not tasty at all. The blueberry panna cotta was flavorless , but the mousse cake/pie had a heavenly crust. Coffee was strong, tasty, had NO bitterness.I would recommend Thea's for FABULOUS appetizers and an awesome beet salad but the entrees left a lot to be desired ."

"This chain restaurant offers surprisingly good food. The entrees really shine, although I personally find the sides fall short. I tried the steak and chicken tenders for my main dish, and I was impressed by how buttery and flavorful the steak was. I also ordered the green beans for the first time, but they had an unusual sweetness that I didn’t quite enjoy. The mashed potatoes are definitely above average and often end up on my plate, but I’ve yet to find a second side (most entrees come with two) that I like enough to order. I can't bring myself to pay extra for a salad that’s mostly just lettuce, a few tomatoes, a quarter of a boiled egg, shredded carrots, and cheese. On a positive note, their lemonades are fresh and tasty, even on a chilly, rainy night. They offer kids’ meals with the option for any side, which is great for my 6-year-old who has recently discovered a love for loaded baked potatoes—a choice that usually incurs an extra charge at other places."

"Hostess didn't know how to confirm reservation told me the system was broken then said the restaurant was under new mgmt and they didn't tell her anything . That was after she told me it would be a 40 minute wait and I was surrounded by empty tables. The manager finally came had us seated and our server was terrific! I stopped another young lady on the way out and told her that I wanted to confirm my reservation was confirmed with open table and she saw it immediately and took care of it. Hostess should be trained or let go. She probably was just ready to leave and had to stay because of the 3 employees that came in all together late."

"I went here in a layover and let me tell you about the so so service, the bartender Brian didn't know there menu I asked what flavors came on the potato skin passport and he didn't know. The whiskey selection is so bad and blamed the manager not being a drinker. I tried to like the whiskey burger but I doubt there was any whiskey even used in the sauce and the sauce is so bad and thin. Potato skins were good the burger was one of the worst I have tried. Don't stop here for food unless you want just potato skins."

"The manager and a host were present when I entered and they did not greet me. I actually think they glared at me, after a few awkward moments I explained that I made a reservation for 10 via opentable, they had no idea what I was talking about. After checking the reservations they found my party and found room for us. I was waiting by the door and when i went to sit on the couches there were two big piles of spit on the floor. The restaurant was fairly empty, but it took forever to order our first round of food. We were sent a new waitress and she was much nicer and more helpful."

"I reserved a table and went to the restaurant after receiving the confirmation. the young black man on the door was informed about the reservation. he went and asked a waitress if we had a reservation. he came back and said they didn't have a reservation. I showed him the app and confirmation and he laughed and said we don't do the app! then it went on to sit other people in the line. So if they book a table on TGI Friday at gate in DFW Airport, they are ignored and laughed by the waiting staff."

"I've ordered from here several times and have never had a problem until today. We ordered an extra large and got a large. We ordered thin crust (said it THREE TIMES during the order and asked him to repeat it back to me) and got thick crust. We were told 45-50 minutes. We got it in about 90 minutes. I asked for a refund back to my mother's card for the difference in size and he told me he would credit it on my next order. I have no intention of ordering from them again any time soon; so I wanted the refund. It's delicious, though, as always. But pretty poor customer service today."

"I don't understand how this restaurant has such high ratings because it was a complete disaster. They were out of desserts and the milkshakes had no flavor despite using only 2 types of ice cream. We received the wrong food and the mistake was blamed on the customer even though there were 6 of us to confirm the waitress's error. The bathrooms were extremely dirty and the burgers tasted like dog food. On top of all that, none of our orders were cooked or delivered properly. Absolutely disgusting."

"I grew up in Meadville and Kings was a staple on the hill, just as Perkins was, down the hill. Kings (and Perkins) are perfect representations of old Meadville. Run down, sad, understaffed, empty display shells of their former selves. Absolutely nothing against the wait staff, they were hustling as fast as they could, and I tipped accordingly. We actually went twice last week, orders were wrong both times (completely wrong sandwich, not something small). We didn 't even mention it, as it looked like 4 people were running the entire restaurant. But again, the service is not the reason for the review. The place feels like the last 30 minutes of a garage sale. Each time I return home to Meadville, Kings gets worse. The interior is not old in a charming way, it 's tired and needs gutted."

"our waiter was friendly and efficient. we went around 15:40p and had no waiting time, we ordered two drinks 1 painkillers 1 frozen Texas earthworms both were deliciously recommended. the strawberries were thinly cut into a frozen margarita, the painful had fresh pineapple 10/10. we had the queso and salsa chip appetizer, croissants with melted honey butter over the absolutely amazinggg! they get 2 free, otherwise it is 1.99$ for 2, but so it is worth it! I ordered the combination of fried garnel chicken tender with frits south green. However, I was not really important for the green beans had too much of a lemon flavor everything else was good, my mother had the pasta with sausage and pepper and the portions were huge! we had enough to go home. the drinks were even decent size, but we sure have this lol done for me for the first time here, will be back!"
