"I recommend Joey D's Oakroom for both the mall weary local and the experienced traveler. Here are just some of the reasons why: February, '05 actually marks my second visit to Joey D's Oakroom during the trip to Atlanta in the store. Joey D 's was recommended to me by a member of my hotel staff, and was described as a neighboring place; it differs from a typical;bar chain; Restaurant Klon You know the chains I mean...cookie butter food, drinks, pseudo-party atmosphere high with forced music and hyper friendly staff. Not so with Joey D's relaxed atmosphere allowed me to pass an unbelievably pleasant evening with people I only met on that day, some of whom have remained in contact with me, in large part to our common experiences with Joey D 's (first visit) and a second evening after an intense training conference where I find my; new one; with a dear friend and employee (second visit in February, 05). All in all that stands out to me was how the waiter went beyond and beyond to serve, including sharing a bit of himself with stories, smiles, and that ;something extra ; found with well selected, well-managed employees who play to, oh, a waiter comfortably with the group, or feel a waitress that something from a casual look amiss (it was best to satisfy them) and do. The food at both visits was excellent, the selection of desserts was fabulous, and the selection of wine and cigars allows a perfect evening nearby. My last comment must be, like my first Joey D's waiter, me and my employees on our first, very fine glasses of Dow 20 years old Tawny Port Wine, which remains my favorite to today. Go to Joey D 's next time you're in Atlanta, no matter what season you're disappointed!"

"On our first visit, we kicked things off with a fresh cup of coffee ($3.00). We shared the Monte Cristo Breakfast, which includes two pieces of homemade French toast topped with ham and scrambled eggs, all covered in Swiss cheese, accompanied by a side of essential lingonberries ($14.45). If the description doesn't scream “huge portion,” I don't know what does! It also came with two sides—ours were two cinnamon rolls and hash browns. It was an abundance of food, and not just any food, but truly delicious food. They nailed both the quantity and quality. Everything complemented each other perfectly. This was easily the best version of this classic dish I’ve ever had. The ham was cooked to perfection, just the way I like it. The eggs were incredibly moist, fully cooked, and there was just the right amount of cheese. The French toast was entirely homemade—oh my, it was scrumptious! I could have eaten it on its own. On our second day, my husband indulged and ordered the French Toast Fantasy, which features mascarpone-filled cinnamon rolls that are battered, grilled, and topped with granola and seasonal fresh berries ($12.95). It’s a favorite of Rachael Ray’s and it’s easy to see why—it’s a deliciously sweet treat! This dish is a sugar overload in the best possible way. Honestly, I found it a bit overwhelming, as it was like a combination of sugar piled on fat with a side of more sugar. It was good, but we could only handle a few bites. It’s definitely a unique dish, but I recommend pairing it with something savory, like eggs or plain hash browns, to balance the sweetness. I opted for a simpler dish of two eggs, hash browns, and seasonal fresh fruit ($10.75), and my husband ended up eating half of it just to take a break from all that sweetness. But the true stars of both meals were the cinnamon rolls. You won’t find anything like them anywhere else, and they’re unforgettable. They are moist, stretchy, yet tender, with the perfect amount of cinnamon and the most delectable icing! I’ll remember these rolls for a lifetime! They are as close to heaven on Earth as you can get! They are extraordinary and mind-blowing. I doubt there are words in English that do justice to how much I adore them and the lasting impression they left on me. You simply have to try them for yourself!"

"If I could leave a zero out of 10 I would. This restaurant has been around as far as I’m aware since at least the 90s when I was a child. Back then, it was good. Over the years, the quality has gone up and gone down. However, they must have the stupidest policy I think I have ever heard of when it comes to take out food. Tried to call in an order for pick up, and they said that they would not take any form of payment and that they didn’t make the order until we got there! So this means that you have to drive there and then wait in additional presumably 10 to 20 minutes for them to make your order if you’re lucky. This must be the stupidest policy I’ve ever heard in my life. I really can’t get over how dumb of a policy this is. You should never ever go there. As a customer, you expect a bit of decency and a bit of. I don’t know customer service. It’s not very consumer and customer friendly to have them wait till you get there to make a carry out order. This restaurant really has gone down and you can tell when you see very little car is sitting out in the parking lot in.. I wish this restaurant nothing but failure and I hope you don’t go there and have the same terrible experience I have. Imagine wanting something to eat and having a craving and it’s the only place around that really serves seafood now and that’s the attitude and the Agenda that you’re hit with. Do not go here buyer beware"
