"The ribs were served cold, the baked beans were overcooked, and the coleslaw was dry. The peach cobbler seemed more cooked than baked, and the peach cheesecake was light, but lacked flavor. The food arrived quickly and my sister enjoyed the peach tea. Overall, we were not impressed with Shane's and do not plan on returning. However, for those looking for a lot of baked BBQ options, Shane's may be the place for them."

"I’m a local of PCB and Shane’s is my “go to” place for bbq. I live near Outlaws, but Shane’s is so much better and let’s not forget about the price! Their prices are awesome! I always order my food online for pick up and it’s always delicious and fresh. The employees always greet me with a “Hello” and a smile on their face. It’s hard to get that in Panama City Beach because most workers are from Jamaica who are solely brought over to work fast food/hotel custodians and have no clue what customer service is. I will continue to eat from Shane’s here in my small little beach town."

"I ate the half rack plate with two sides and a drink. This is a chain restaurant and the food quality reflects that. The ribs were good. The two sides were mack and cheese that tasted like Kraft from the box and potato salad that was too sweet. I wanted to try Shane's out of curiosity and I don't need to go back. "The food was good tasting but the half chicken portion is small ???? my chickens that I buy for home is somehow much larger. The meat didn't need the BBQ sauce, it was fine alone. The sauces weren't any special. If I had to pick a fav, it would be theoriginal or hot. Everything was just standard that I could make at home so I won't be back but worth it if you don't cook ordon't want to. The Texas toast was chemical white bread so I didn't eat it. The peach cobbler is made with canned peaches????????????????????????.. again could make a better at home. It was $24 for the two meat and a dessert. Normal prices, but notworth it if you can cook yourself. Didn't suck but wasn't amazing."

"I didn't take any pictures this time because I was just updating my review. It had been a while since we last visited, and I doubt we will return. The fries were just standard frozen ones—either reheated or cooked in old grease—they were overcooked. The sweet potato fries, on the other hand, were undercooked. I ordered the rib plate, and it tasted like it had been sitting out since the day before. This was on June 25, 2024, around 4 PM. I mentioned the issue with the fries to a young blonde staff member, but she didn’t seem to care. So here I am, writing a new review. They do offer military discounts, which is a nice touch, but the food definitely needs improvement."

"Everything seems to be cooked in the same sauce here. The baked beans were surprisingly bland, lacking any real flavor—certainly not as good as Bush's. This is supposed to be a rib place, so I really don’t understand why they can’t add a bit of meat to the beans for some extra taste. My friend and I couldn’t figure out why there were so many people dining there. We even spoke to folks at three nearby tables, and they all mentioned they had never been before and wouldn’t return. It was comforting to know we weren’t alone in our opinions. I feel sorry for those who think this place is good, as it seems they haven't experienced truly great BBQ, which is a real shame."

"At first I didn't want to try Shane for the bad press I heard/read, but one of my good friends said he loved it, so we went to lunch. Their BBQ (Pullover pork) and grilled offers are both fantastic, I love their sauce and sweet potatoes too. They prevented me from putting Honey Mustard on her. I was probably a dozen times since this first visit and I had no problems complaining. Waiting time is what I would expect for better quality food. It doesn't feel like a fast food joint rushed, but I would recommend it for lunch."

"Went here for the first time today and I have to say it was amazing! I was skeptical at first, but the restaurant is very deceiving. I had the half and half ribs and chicken it was very good. Chicken was moist and cooked through perfectly. The ribswere moist, came off the bone very easy and had just the right amount of rub. As far as the atmosphere goes, the workers hustle!Fast service, and very nice. The overall restaurant was clean and was constantly taken care of by employees who would not onlytake your order, but also clean the tables, serve you, and clean the existing area near the soda machine and cutlery. 10/10 amgoing to come back and I HIGHLY recommend this establishment."

"Food is usually great !! But on new years eve I feel I was racially refused service. I walked in and it was 7:50pm. There was a black gentleman ordering and paying for his food. The black girl behind the counter said they were closing at 8 since it was new years eve and he was the last customer. I said ok , happy new year and walked out to my truck . Called my wife while in the parking lot to decide on something else. I looked back at the door and I noticed a black man walked in who had just pulled into the parking lot. Yes , she took his order and I watched him pay. I thought maybe it was door dash or something. Then thought, why would he have paid ? Yes I am white . So it has to be racially driven. I don't want to believe that but there's no other answer to it that i can think of !!!! I'll probably still eat here because I realize it's not the owners fault. It's just the racist driven world we live in ."

"Our daughter is leaving for the Army on the 23rd and my husband and I wanted to do something special for her. She loves Shane's, so I called and told them who I was(we go a lot) and asked if they could do a party of 10 and told them why. They said of course!!!! I sent one of our daughters ahead of us to take in the balloons and gifts. KAL and Dayami are truly amazing. They have always been so sweet and their customer service has always been by far the best, but they went above and beyond what was expected of them. I can't put into words how thankful and grateful I am for the both of them for helping us surprise our babygirl for this special occasion.
