"The service was quick, even though the restaurant was busy with many customers. They had live music on Saturdays until noon. The outdoor deck was beautiful with plenty of seating. The pulled pork was tasty, but despite the menu stating it was smoked, it definitely was not. As someone who knows barbecue well, I can confirm it was not smoked. However, it was still good! It came with fries and a cheese sauce. My friend ordered the fish and chips and said it was decent, they appreciated the malt vinegar. Overall, it's a cool place to hang out with quick and friendly service. We will definitely be back!"

"for Sunday brunch. that was okay. service was not existent. someone has placed 15 minutes after sitting water on our table. 5 minutes before the coffee. they ran out and never came back to fill the tassen. 15 minutes and we wanted to ask who our server was so that we could get drinks. I never checked on our table. after all that for non-existent service and a self-service buffet, they automatically included a 18% size."

"Had not been there in a while. Went Saturday evening dinner, drinks and college football...Service was fast. Ordered food and beer. Started watching the game. A few minutes later, a couple arrived with a small child 6 8 yrs). The child immediately started crying and complaining that the TVs were not setup to his liking. Unbelievably, the manager came out and turned the game off to appease the child and set the TVs up as he desired. Then the child didn 't even watch the TV and started crying again...I asked the wait person why she did not ask others, the reply was the kid was crying...what could we do?... We will not go back here again."

"We ate on the deck area parallel to the river. The view was very nice, and the noise level was low enough for easy conversation. Our server, Michelle, was friendly, relaxed, and attentive without being in the least disruptive. Our food arrived hot from the kitchen and was exactly what we'd ordered. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch by the water before continuing our trip."

"I don’t normally do reviews but had to share my experience. Obviously reviews are subjective so I must say, I almost skipped out on this restaurant because of the reviews. I am really happy I didn’t because me and my husband had the most enjoyable experience on Valentine’s Day. The food drinks were delicious! We had the blue martini, beet salad with salmon, pan fried haddock and shrimp linguine. So 2 cocktails, a pricey appetizer and 2 main courses and the check came up to $100.00 for 2 persons, which is affordable compared to other restaurants. The service was great, server was very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was comfortable. I mean it wasn’t the best decorated restaurant you will find, but that’s why it’s a “tavern”.The ambiance is certainly like a tavern. There is bar on the side of the restaurant if you want pub style or you can opt for sit down dining. I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back. By the way the restaurant was quite full, so the negative reviews don’t seem to be sticking."

"I rolled in here w/ 4 kids and myself. It seems like a odd choice if you have 3 10 12 year olds right? But I wanted a beer, and the menu looked good to me. And since I was both driving and paying, that's where we went : When we got there, it wasn't too busy and they set us right down. I asked for a spot off to the side so we didn't disrupt any other patrons and they accommodated easily. For food, I feel like we got everything they had, but really, I got the below: Tater Tots appetizer These were good, crispy and flavorful. The BBQ sauce and bacon to dip in was a nice touch Parmesan Fries Good fries, nothing special, but good Sweet Potato Fries Well made fries here, crispy and flavorful Grilled Cheese Sandwich Super good Waffle Dessert The girls all loved it, I actually didn't try it. The girls also got various salads and burgers, and they all pretty much cleared their plates, so that's pretty damn good."

"I The food was excellent. The setting is beautiful. We sat outside. The band was lots of fun. Our actual waiter was really very good. The hostess was nasty. It’s a shame. We asked for an outdoor seat out of the sun. She seated us directly in the sun. The restaurant had many empty tables so when she walked away we moved to a table that had an umbrella open to sit under. A few minutes later the hostess came over and said she would ALLOW us to continue to sit there but if we ever did that again we would be asked to leave. I certainly felt like a little kid after that. We were hungry and had already ordered or we probably would have gotten up and left. I would go back but if it was the same hostess I would turn around and leave."

"I took my girlfriend here for a make up Valentine’s Day dinner. The decor of JSix is impeccable and very appealing to the eye although the tables are very small. We ordered the Jsix salad and charcuterie to start which were very good. We were excited for the next items (which took an awful long time to come but we didn’t really mind) which were the mushrooms, Brussels sprouts and meatballs. The Brussels sprouts were fine. The mushrooms were ok, but cold. But the meatballs were cold to the touch in the middle which particularly bothered me because they had pork in them. I asked for a refire and received another order of meatballs which were cold in the middle. This aggravated me for a few reasons: the manager was informed but did not come speak to us (nor did a chef) I went out of my way to speak to the manager on the way out and he did not seem to much care, use a meat thermometer which is mandated by the state health code, I’m sure I paid a premium for frozen meatballs. I would not recommend this restaurant and if I managed it would be concerned about getting someone sick"

"This was so average. But I was in great company with friends!!!The sliders were honestly just ordinary, no flavors in the sauces stood out. I ate the Korean fried chicken sliders and the chicken was fried but barely.. not breaded much and wasn’t really crispy.The fries were delicious so I suppose that’s a redeeming quality.The ambiance of the restaurant was a bit dreary to be honest. I can’t explain it but it felt a little lifeless.I don’t think I would go back. Also it was on par with other restaurants for pricing."

"We have come here several times before and absolutely loved it! Our last time here was at the beginning of September. We came here again mid November and this time will be our last due to the disappointment. This place used to be amazing and our go to spot for special occasion brunch. As we were ordering we were told several items on the menu are no longer available, one of them being the Bacon Board. The bread for the Toasts was changed from a sour dough to a regular sandwich bread. It was under toasted, cold, and floppy. The orange juice was bitter. Just about everything about this visit makes us never want to come back. Unless they can turn themselves around and undo the changes they made, we will not be returning."

"FOOD: Disappointing The wet burrito was very dry and flavorless The margaritas were extremely limey and hard to drink. Their salsa was terrible almost a burnt/sour taste. The salmon was more smothered than the wet burrito and was ok. The cilantro lime rice was excellent. The table side guacamole was amazing and the young lady that prepared it was extremely pleasant. The guacamole was the best part of the meal STAFF: The staff was pleasant and was accommodating, however, at times they did not seem to know what was going on. The mgr helped out, a lot, and took on many rolls. OVERALL: unfortunately, I do not recommend this restaurant at this time. They are newly opened, and it shows Maybe as they continue, their operations will become more fine-tuned, it won’t seem so chaotic."

"I am editing my original review because once I posted I received a call from the manager to discuss what happened. He sincerely cared about our experience, explained what happened, then went above and beyond to make it right.I really appreciated the extra effort. Sincerely grateful. Thanks Josh! We made reservations because last time we were told we had to. Even though they were rude last time we wanted to try the place. It is super cool inside. Our server was basically non existent. He didn’t wipe the table even after being asked. It took about 10 min to be asked for our first drinks. Several more minutes before we got them. When he returned he only took 2 refill drink orders and bolted before I could ask for mine, my drink was clearly empty. When he came back with the other drinks he seemed bothered I needed one. He forgot to bring said drink so I sat there for about 10 min with no drink. Then he came up and said “did I put your drink order in” clearly no. Then he brings me a drink but in a plastic cup and told me they didn’t have anymore glasses. 10 minutes later he brings another drink out in a glass and said it was a mistake did we want it. But it was the exact same drink that I had ordered so I wonder if he just left it on the counter. He brought our food with no utensils or napkins. We sat there for about 10 min. It was finger food but still we needed napkins. He finally flew by and I asked for napkins again and be brought little bar napkins not dining napkins. About 3/4 of the tables had reserve signs but there wasn’t anyone there for the 90 min we were there so it wasn’t busy. There seems to be plenty of staff. Needless to say it was underwhelming and disappointing. Before you wonder if I’m a Karen or was rude to him. I’m in the service industry too and am very understanding of what’s going on. This young man clearly did not know how or want to do his job, this and the previous rude experience from the host stand concluded into a decision not to return."

"The server mentioned she was new but still provided good service. We both tried the boxty, which was enjoyable. I would recommend adding more corned beef and making the potato pancakes crispier. "our server started pleasant. table next to us asked for a manager. there was a problem. She never came back to us, ran away and disappeared for 25 minutes. When she came back, my man said he had liked another limo. she rolled her eyes and cried nicki, brought this table a pepsi. very unprofessional. other servicers had smiles on their faces and were pleasant. another service helped to delete our table and get drinks in our server abnormality and it was very pleasant. our server has left a bad taste in our mouth. brunch was nothing special that really lacked on the ground rib and the ham looked too dry to even rehearse. seafod newburg was overwhelmed by red papers. lack of salat articles was disappointing for many in our party. Outdoor special event (family fun zone) was amazing for mother's day. no quantity and great entertainment. Unfortunately, the choice of food and the setting of the server will not return to us."

"I made a last-minute reservation for a Wednesday at 6 PM, and I'm really glad I did. My girlfriend and I arrived right on time, and while there weren't many people initially, that changed quickly. This place is definitely a hot spot and fills up fast! A live DJ was playing when we got there, and the music was great. We managed to get an outdoor table, which was nice. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. We ordered several small plates of appetizers, all of which were delicious. They have happy hour specials that vary by day, and there are some fun choices to pick from. I highly recommend this restaurant, but be sure to make a reservation — don’t just show up expecting to be seated!"

"This place was so disorganized. Now I can understand it being busy but everyone was just focused on their current task at hand and nothing else. We basically serviced ourselves. The first hostesses said we needed to see another hostess to be seated. After getting drinks from the bar we walked over to the other stand but no one was at the stand when we got there so we walked around sat down at an open table which was hard to find because most of them said reserved. We watched for about 15 minutes as the same thing happened to many others. After going back asking the process again just be clear, I ended up just going to the bar and ordering food. That bartending was the only attentive person we encountered there all night. A bus boy even came by our table a few times and on the last time took our untouched plates and utensils. This places gets 3 stars because the pulled pork sandwiches we got were amazing, even though we wanted wings, they were out. And the music was good."

"This restaurant has a unique concept, as it is located in an old bank that has been converted into a dining establishment. We were able to secure a reservation for dinner on the patio, which was important to us. The weather was beautiful, so it was a lovely evening to dine outside. Our waitress brought us our wines. When D took a sip of his Pinot Noir and thought it tasted old, he called the waitress over. She informed us that the bottle had just been opened but then returned a few minutes later with a new glass of wine, apologizing for mistakenly pouring from a bottle that had been open for a day or so. I ordered a chicken stir fry but realized as I was eating it that it was actually beef. Despite the mix-up, I found the beef to be very tender and delicious and chose not to complain. D enjoyed his hamburger and mentioned that it was very good. We were informed that the beef used in the dishes comes from the restaurant's own farm. Although there were a few small issues, we still had a nice time overall, which is what really matters."

"This restaurant has a friendly staff, but the food is disappointing. We returned the Caesar salad because the dressing had a fishy and oily taste. The New York-style pizza was puzzling; the cheese was dried out but not burnt, and the double dough consisted of two layers that were peeling apart. I have never encountered something like this before! When we shared our concerns with the waitress and asked her to take a look at the pizza, she informed us that it was a new recipe and promised to mention it to the chef the next day. I suggest going back to the old recipe to save yourself from this experience."
