"The people are nice, but the food is plain... They claim to be a southern BBQ spot but to be honest, it's not even close to any other BBQ spot in the south... All the food is dry and tastes left over. They don't remove the skins from the ribs which is extremely amateur. The pork has no flavor, the brisket doesent taste like your typical brisket, just tastes like oven cooked roast beef. The wings have a decent smoked flavor, but the sauces lack vigor. What's worse is the Mac and cheese just tastes like starch instead of cheese and the rice and beans with cheese has absolutely no flavor. I did not try their burritos or burrito bowls, but I will not be going back, ever. Very disappointed."

"I wanted to love Hay Chihuahua. First time going.. Wanted some authentic queso birrias.Sat at outside table on a Friday night at about 6 pm. Service was good off the bat, friendly staff. Wasn't very busy inside or out, looked like carry out business was doing well. The good; horchata was yummy, chips were great, fried fresh in house it seemed. The standard rojo and verde sauces were also good.The bad; Quesobirrias were just ok, pretty soggy and falling apart, and small tacos and order size or 14 bucks, I would not order these again here. Burrito salad was again ok, not great, my guest would not order it again. Here's where the big problem came in, I ordered a to go order for 2 folks that couldn't come to dinner with us. Another order of queso birrias and a steak and chicken taco ala carte. I stressed VERY much that these tacos need to be on corn tortillas and no cheese or any dairy, onions and cilantro ONLY. My friend has strict dietary restrictions, I was told no problem at all.Got home, one taco was on a flour tortilla and both had cheese. My friend now had no dinner.My friend at home was even less impressed with the quesobirrias, she was like is this it? 3 small tacos without much flavor and the consume was a 5 out of 10.Overall, not a bad Mexican place but just nothing special IMO, I will keep searching for the best quesoberrias in the NW suburbs.Preferably crispy and flavorful, with sides. Any recommendations from other yelpers are highly appreciated!"

"I was obsessed with the “Happy Gorilla”, sadly the last handful of times I ordered it there was a SERIOUS quality drop.. the chocolate and banana flavor are overpowered by the dry and old tasting peanut butter used.. every sip of this ONCE delicious drink is blocked by clumps of grainy, below average tasting peanut butter! Please fix this and bring my favorite drink back to its former glory!"

"Fast food Mexican same as Chipotle or Moe 's Southwest Grille, but not as good. . Burritos, tacos, salads, etc. We had two Chicken tacos $7.58), a Spicy Ranch Burrito $6.99) and a Thai Burrito $6.99). Small side orders of chips are $0.99. You order at the front counter, and when they call your number, you pick up at a side counter. When they called our number, I noticed I didnt have the iced tea I ordered, the server, said I think it 's up there pointing to a ledge near the front counter. It would have been nice if the cashier pointed it out to me originally. The food was average nothing special or spectacular. The burritos were OK my Thai Burrito seemed to have a lot of lettuce and carrot in it. The tacos were kind of flimsy and fell apart when picked up. They were served with a teeny tiny ribbon of sour cream, and when we asked for more, we were told that 's extra . Yeah nice customer service for a family that just spent $27. The salsa bar is a nice feature one tame and one zippy salsa with add ins of onion, cilantro, and chopped jalapeno avalable. The store was pretty clean, we saw multiple workers on the dining floor, sweeping the floor and wiping tables. All in all barely OK in an average Cape Cod way, I doubt we 'll be back"

"we visit the opposite and decided to stop by. in and immediately caught wind from a terrible smell - almost like the müll had to be changed. I have the Taco bar and what a chaos! the one who prepared my burrito shook the tear with his hand and disregarded the spoon. By the way, the rice was as old as if it were all day. when the coworker grabbed the gurkens for my burrito, he poured his hand into the tablet, pressed the juice back into the tablet instead of using a spoon. ? and to hide it, they flew around and you fall into the picco salsa! Now they weren't busy at all, why the chaos? Of course I wouldn't recommend it."

"I'm giving Aguas a well-deserved 5 stars! Upon our arrival, we were struck by how clean the interior was. We ordered the special of four potato tacos and some nachos. As someone who is very particular about flavors, I tried to identify the taste of the carne asada/steak that accompanied the nachos. The staff were incredibly accommodating, serving it on a separate plate so I could enjoy it on its own. It was absolutely delicious! We sat in the back area, which had a lovely charm. While disposing of some trash, I discovered an even more delightful space featuring a garden, a great atmosphere, a large TV, and a giant Connect 4 game. We will definitely be coming back! The nachos were priced at $10 and were more than enough for a meal. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the portions generous!"

"This is a decent spot to grab a bite. I appreciate their approach to fusion cuisine, but it seems to compromise the flavors a bit. The ingredients felt somewhat uninspired and didn’t match the quality I’ve experienced at other places. I opted for takeout and tried the Modern Mexican Burrito with grilled chicken and the Buffalo Tacos with Impossible meat. 1) Modern Mexican Burrito: 3/5 - To be honest, it was a bit disappointing. It didn't have the flavor I was expecting, even after making several customizations. 2) Buffalo Tacos: 4/5 - I decided to be a little adventurous with this choice, and they turned out to be quite good. I definitely found the tacos to be more flavorful than the burritos."

"Unfortunately, the chili in the Frito-Pie was disappointing, with minimal toppings aside from avocado and cheese. I found only a few crumbs of tempeh, a piece of tomato, and a few corn kernels in the dish. The worst part was that it lacked flavor, with no hint of cumin. They did provide a small container of Cholula hot sauce. I will not be returning to this restaurant. However, the food from the neighboring business was much better."

"I ordered the carnitas and chicken tacos. The chicken was tender but had a bit of an overpowering chicken flavor, almost like it was simply boiled, so it lacked seasoning. However, the carnitas were excellent—very tasty and no chewy fatty bits. The tacos were quite generous in size for the price, larger than the palm of my hand! I enjoy a spice level of about 4 out of 5, and while both sauces had great flavor, the red sauce didn't pack much heat. The churro hit the spot with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar—neither greasy nor dry. I'll definitely be ordering from here again!"

"Do not judge a book by it 's cover because this book 's cover is questionable. My family was a little worried when I suggested we stop here on our way back to Breck. The exterior does not scream stop here and eat! but just keep walking in. Trust me. We walked in just at the start of a rush. Who would 've guessed that on a Wednesday night there would be a mad rush for tamales, but that apparently was the case. No one actually verbally acknowledged us, and it did make us feel a bit nervous about being in the middle of nowhere. Eventually we were given menus, and the waitress apologized for needing some time to get to us. When she did get to us she was patient with some of our indecision and questions. We weren 't starving, otherwise we would 've gotten cranky. The food arrived hot and delicious. The tamales were delicious. A previous review called them massive but they were of average size but above average taste. The bison tamale smothered in red chili was my favorite, and my husband ordered a bison burrito smothered in red chili, also delicious. The only disappointment was learning they did not have any frozen tamales available for us to take with, and the wait for cold tamales would 've been too long since they were making them to-order and the place was full by the time we were ready to call it a night. I suppose if we had not been so tired from rafting and zip lining earlier in the day we would 've considered bowling because what says Mexican food like bowling before or after dinner!"
