"Very upset on what I just experienced here. I placed an order online and their system is very limited to modifications as well as the kids section doesn’t allow you to put drinks. So after I placed my $114 order I called them to explain themodifications I needed and what drink my child wanted (which another employee before told me to just call and let them know tohave it ready taking their advice . So I called not even 5 minutes after I order and explain if I could switch the kidssteamed broccoli for mixed veggies which they said they can and to add the kids drink a ginger ale and my jambalaya pasta sinceI can’t have mussels to add extra shrimp which I’ve done in the past when sitting down at the restaurant as well as insteadof veggies with my steak I asked for double Fries which I was able to modify online and all steak being medium . I showed upwhen I got the text it was ready and the girls in front clearly didn’t take down my note or care to do the modification Iasked. Thankfully I checked my food before leaving and told them they didn’t change the broccoli to mixed vegetables, theydidn’t give me the drink and I had to double check with the girls if that meant they didn’t even mention the extra shrimpsince I removed the mussels , the one girl that stayed with me said she wasn’t the one who spoke to me and doesn’t know . Nobread or bruschetta was in the bag . I also had to wait and extra 15 minutes for the mixed veggies. Also no double fries with mysteak but they added veggies and steaks were well done. The point of calling was to 1. Make easier for them and to do it beforethe kitchen started the food and 2. To not have to bother them when’s I’m there and also to have my food ready . Highlydisappointed , paying $114 for food and couldn’t get simple request done and not how I ordered my food and still having towait for them to do something I gave them a head up for and time to do . "The place is perfect for large parties (10+ . It has booth and tables seating. They have a good wine list both by glass and bottle. The menu is very diverse, they serve steaks, pastas, salads, burgers, and even have an “world” section that includes a couple of Asian dishes. The desserts have some for less than 20 min, and others that take longer, so it may be worthwhile to order all at once. Service was attentive, and fast. The food was OK, it was tasty. The entries can be anywhere from +18 to +30 for the steaks I believe. Parking can be an issue, they share the parking with the mall and hotel nearby, so the “front” parking tends to be packed."

"it is really hard to do for this visit something, b/c they do not honor reservations with opentable. they said they treat as a call sitting ahead and take no reservations. we had a reservation of 6:15, but when it was 645, they might have said another 30 minutes, so we left. now I'm not sure where the wrong representation falls, but opentable should note that these are not really reservations or choose them not to use websites that have not actually kept up. now we eat in this restaurant and it is good, but can not rate this visit."

"Everything about this place was not good except we were greeted at the door. That was nice. But even though we made a reservation we were told to find a table and the only tables were right by the door which kept blowing open. Then the service was bad took long time to take the order, get drinks (which were wrong 2 times) and then when the food came it was missing sides sauces and that took time to flag someone down. They have no business calling themselves anything but a sports bar. The food was just one step above fast food quality. And I was so disappointed to see Beyond Meat on the menu. As a vegetarian, I am no longer being able to get a burger. Vegetarians are not looking for something that mimics meat or taste juicy like a burger....we gave up meat. So I order what I thought was safe an egg skillet and it was just ok. Nothing special and kind of greasy. I will never go back and I guess they won 't really care as the placed was packed with screaming children and loud TVs."

"We have enjoyed The Standard Restaurant since it opened (sometime after the Bugaboo closed. The waitress was wonderful. She was helpful, personable, attentive but not hovering and her pacing was perfect! The Santa Fe Egg rolls were delicious, plentiful and came with a complimentary sauce. My wife enjoyed the Pete’s Special very much and was very impressed with the soup as well as the sandwich. Our family was celebrating our son’s birthday as well as his recent graduation from college (at his favorite restaurant. I was surprised that this was not even mentioned by anyone since I checked the appropriate boxes on the reservation form as well as in a message to the restaurant. I understand this can happen with messages not being forwarded. It has been awhile since I ordered the Crab cake BLT. It was the best in the area. Tonight’s CCBLT had much more filler, rather than crabmeat, than I remember. It used to be 90 percent crab meat. I believe that ratio has been reversed and the texture was not nearly as appealing. Although still tasty, with a warm-soft roll and generous amount of fries, honestly, it was disappointing. However, all the portion sizes were huge and each of us took food home. The Key lime martini is still the best in town! The prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and everyone was welcoming and polite!"

"In all honesty i haven't been back here in years ever since it was first sold be the original owners. My aunt and mom came in with these new owners and said the food was good, so when my mom asked me on a date (mommy daughter date) we agreed to come here and let me say I happy we did. We started with the skirt steak quesadilla, omg this was amazing and so flavorful, no extra salt or pepper needed. Mom got the oxtail meal and as you can see it came with a lot of food. I got the 3 cluster snow crab I. Scampi sauce with 2 sides. When I tell you this place did not disappoint it really didn't. It was worth coming back after not coming for so long. The place was as I remembered it, just real cool diner vibe, music wasn't to loud that you could still have a convo with your person. I can proudly say I will be coming back. Edit: my only negative is that the sides aren't on the menu, so you have no idea what they are until you ask your wait staff"

"I moved to the Burgh about a year ago. I am a pizza connoisseur. I like everything pizza, calzone, stromboli. So to be completely frank I was skeptical. I ordered a large calzone with the same toppings I always add. It was phenomenal. I ate the entire calzone in less than 45 min. I am hard to please when it comes to pizza, but Pizza Station and their staff have won my stomach. Do they have everything? No. But what they do have, they excel in preparing it."

"We went for dinner last night, and we had a decent experience. There was no wait around 6 PM, so we were shown a booth immediately. Our server quickly took our order. While they were good, it took quite a while for our drinks to get to the table. Once our food was served, the server didn't check back in until we were done and ready for the check. We would have ordered another round of drinks during dinner if our server would have dropped by. The Pepperoni Rolls and the calzone were delicious; the food is definitely consistent. "I have always enjoyed Old Chicago's but we ran into a lot of problems on this visit. I made the reservation on Open Table but we got there and the host told us they did not take reservations. BUT they had a table prepared for a large party. Service was not very good. The place was next to empty but we did not get refills on our tea and water. I would have liked to have ordered another beer but the server did not come around during the beginning of our meal so as we finished our meal I no longer wanted one. We were celebrating a birthday. Had a ton of presents on the table but the server did not offer us dessert. We had 12 people at the table. A large table left a few minutes after us but the table was not cleared throughout our 2 hour dinner. I don't think dinner should have taken 2 hours. We got there at 6:00 but didn't leave until after 8:00. 2 hours for a pizza dinner was not something we expected."

"This is a tough review to do but its an Honest one.Grand Lux Cafe is all glitz and glamour but is it really? And does the food stack up?Sadly its not and the cooks are not very great. (I explain why)So we started off with the Grand Calimari which unfortunately had barely any Calimari or Zuchinni as mentioned and mostly had shrimp and fried onions. It ended up just being a bowl of crispie flour pieces at the end. The dipping sauces were great and portion size was good but its disappointing to not have many Calimari in a dish thats named Grand Calimari. Still not terrible as it tasted great..The service was also good. I forgot the young mans name but he had dreads and was on the slim side. He was great.But now the bad:I ordered the Beef Wellington which is a pretty big platter but is in no way an authentic Beef Wellington. More like a tiny puff pastry placed on a piece of filet mignon that looked like a kabob. Massive disappointment. Whats worse, I asked for my filet mignon to be Medium. It came charred on the outside and raw on the inside. Horrible. All the pieces were inconsistent too.I returned this and opted for a grilled chicken avocado salad. Huge salad full of lettuce and some sweet vinegrette but barely any chicken. Barely! And it was not grilled chicken. Was cold plain chicken. Horrible and for $16.My brother got a garlic shrimp scampi type pasta. It was a huge serving but... not enough Shrimp! How disappointing. Just a ton of angel hair pasta with cheese and garlic sauce. It was really tasty but cmon .. needs more shrimp!My mom got the Salmon Picatta which was nice despite being very bland. She had to ask for hot sauce..The molten chocolate cake aka lava cake was the best part of the meal.I left Grand Lux disappointed. Its a beautiful place for sure. Def the ambiance in alot of the dining areas fits the name.. but the food is not great and they are stingy with some of the protein.I initially told myself I wouldnt go back but I might give them another chance for redemption.P.s. If they seat you in a booth with a sofa back, that sofa back is dirty and full of stains. I shoulda took a pic!"

Chicken kabab was also good but with fewer pieces. The french fries portions were great. Lambshawarma was a little dry. Baklava was filled with too much cinnamon, very strange. "You need to pay 20 dollars for the parking first and then pay 2 dollars each person for shuttle service to go to the restaurant (you can also walk across the highway via a tunnel but, since this is the first time I came here, I have no clue how far it is. Before entering the restaurant, 26 dollars is gone. The food is okay, the service is acceptable. The view is good. So, it depends on what you want."

"Family of four, stopped in at 9:05 and they were open until 10. Ordered chicken wings and basic Pepperoni Detroit Pizza, individual size. The pizza was definitely older and microwaved. Chewy stale crust that even resisted a knife, with globs of previously melted cheese that had since solidified. Little Caesar’s would’ve been gourmet by comparison. We waited as long or longer than any take out pizza, so no reason why it could not have been fresh.There were hardly any customers, and the staff seemed to be the definition of burned out, somehow understaffed with nothing going on. The waitress was nice, but she seemed to bring the food out hesitantly, knowing it wasn’t great. Likely not wanting to deal with backlash, which of course we did not do that to her.I had been here a few years back and everything was hot and fresh and the place was booming. Clearly has gone way downhill."

"My fiancée and I rented her cedar room to organize our wedding reception. It was very stressful to find a place that was not very expensive, and that was our solution. It had plenty of space, the food was amazing, the price was more than fair, and the staff was professional and efficient. They were very flexible when it came to decorate and even we are fine with serving food about half an hour earlier than expected. I'm really looking forward to what it did and the woman responsible for the cedar room's care is great. I recommend you if you have 100 or less guests. Thank you."
