"They have three locations: Hickory, Newton, and Denver. I recently visited the Newton and Hickory stores. It seems that the Newton location is training a new pizza maker. The salads are still fantastic, but the pizza hasn’t been as great as I remember. The crust is thinner, making it harder to grab, and it has less cheese, resembling more of a flatbread. The manager believes this is just how they’ve always made it, but I’ve been a customer for over 20 years and I can tell something has changed. When I visited the Hickory location, I found the pizza to be better there. However, the service in Newton was better."

"The large calzone option can feed a family of four. The picture does not do it justice. I ordered through uber eats, and they did not mess up my order! The calzone is very delicious. However, I would prefer that they do not cut it without my request. 4-stars because it isn’t the most delicious calzone I’ve had, but for the price it will do!"

"Excellent pizza and service! Perfect for a quick stop because you can buy at the tip. Clean restaurant and you can eat on site at indoor tables. Nothing fancy but very warm. There was a nice selection for all tastes and they were heated in the oven on site. Not thick dough, average crust and the sauce/ingredients/cheese ratio was well balanced. THANKS!"

"I just don’t know what happened.. i’ve been going to Carmines for 48 years, give or take a year. A pizza is always been awesome, I now live out of state, and every time I’m back in the area, I stop in at Carmines, whether it’s for a slice or a whole pie. Well, I stopped by the other night, and ordered a pizza for eat in… I was so disappointed. Across just wasn’t right, there wasn’t enough sauce, I don’t know what happened on Saturday night. All I know is that the pizza I’ve been looking forward to for a month and a half wasn’t the same as it used to be, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be back."

"First time passing through this area and glad we stopped here for lunch. Plenty of space between tables and clean looking restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Salad Plate. It a bed of greens, cucumber, spiral pasta, topped with a delicious chicken salad, yummy! This portion is perfect for a light lunch for an adult. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan Sub which comes with fries and he described the taste as average. My son had the Three Cheese Calzone which had a well cooked crust and gooey inside, he liked it very much. We will go back if in the area."

"I’m originally from the Bronx and used to make pizza from the age of 11 to 16. I’m not sure what’s happened to this place, but during the last year of my nine years as a loyal customer who tipped well, the quality has deteriorated to the point where it’s absolutely unappetizing. I can confidently say I will never order from here again. Additionally, the delivery driver was short on change, which felt like a scam. Experiences like this make me think about the importance of secure borders. If you’re curious, just give them a call and see for yourself. They really don’t contribute anything positive. "I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve been living in Haverhill since 2018 and have always driven past this place without ever stepping inside. At first, it seemed a bit intimidating—definitely a local favorite. However, the staff made me feel completely welcome. The deli has a charming old-school vibe, with trays and a wide variety of food options. I ordered an Italian sub, and it was fantastic. I noticed the guy behind me ordered the lamb dinner, and it looked delicious too. That’s definitely on my list for my next visit. Overall, I had a great experience, and I’m proud to be a Hillie enjoying a meal at A1 Deli. Cheers!"

"Absolutely terrible!!!! I ordered through the Slice app for delivery for Palermo's. The order was delivered 30 minutes past the estimated time. Ok it's Friday night...I could have looked passed it being late; however, the food was terrible! The margherita pizza was made wrong! The steak sandwich has stale bread which was also soggy and it fell apart as soon as I picked it up. (As an aside, I say steak sandwich bc if you don't pay 50 for extra"cheese, you don't get any cheese at all!)I contacted Slice's online chat since that's who my money went to and they contacted the pizza shop. Palermo's said there was nothing they can do because they haven't had any complaints today about any other orders. So I guess my complaint doesn't matter?!?!?If that's how Palermo's wants to treat their customers then they have lost my business."

"Inconsistent with food. First time we tried them 2 weeks ago it was good. The meatball parm sub was perfect and correct portions of meatballs for 14 sub. Pizza was good.Last night ordered the same meatball parm sub and it was sub-par at best. No taste, very little amount of meatballs in sandwich, barely any cheese mostly eating bread. Pepperoni Pizza would have tasted better with more Pepperoni. Ordered muscles marinara, medium spice, lack of flavor and used Prince Edward green muscles that I believe were previously frozen. Tasted like rubber and hard to chew, over cooked. Black fresh small tender muscles are always used whenever ordered from other establishments. Sorry for the bad review, however I hope this improves."

"Received a roast beef sandwhich which was made wrong and tasted funny. Called to let them know and was told no it was sliced fresh this morning. Felt sick after eating not even half the sandwhich. "I discovered this place on my way to the veterans hospital. I am New York, born and bred. One of my favorite things is pizza. Calzone's mozzarella stickspaghetti and meatballs. You know, Italian food in general LO.L! I've tried the pizza and a sausage and pepperoni calzone. To my surprise, the pizza actually passed the New york fold test!! Everyone from New York knows if you can't fold your slice, it is definitely not New york Pizza, and the best New york pizza has a little crunch. A little crispness to the crust! The cow zone was good. The only thing it lacked was ricotta cheese. In New York, we like a lot of ricotta in our calzone's, this one was a little lacking in ricotta but still big on flavor. I would definitely recommend anyone to go here. It's the best place I have found in georgia in the year that I have lived here! I will definitely be band the waitress was very nice.Everyone was really nice service was great.Couldn't complain about anything.Even the atmosphere was similar to new york."

We were in town from Syracuse, NY for a soccer tournament and decided to order pizza, wings, and salads for the team's dinner after the game.
