"No doubt, being Valentine's Day evening, the restaurant was VERY crowded. We had a reservation and arrived 15 min. early for it, but had to wait 35-40 minutes to be seated. We were given a booth, very happy about that. The service was erratic, at best, probably due to the crowdedness, and all the waiters were rushing here and there. Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed and somewhat forgetful about items he promised to bring, but overall, he did his best. He was courteous and friendly. The food was FANTASTIC!!! The prime rib and the ribeye steak were done just right, and the caeser salads were perfect in portion size and flavor! Overall, we were pleased with our dinner there. Thank you Black Angus!"

"First the dinner salads were terrible, sour leaf with little to no iceberg. Second. My lobster tail was a really nice looking shell with two inches of meat, the menu says lobster tails by the way. $150.00 and we left most of the so called food on the table. J will never go back."

"Very low end steaks for medium to high end prices. Definitely not a place we will go again. The filet was more like a sirloin and the rib eye was probably the worse one I have ever had. No flavor at all and tons of fat on the rib eye and t bone"

"The BA in Pleasant Hill was our preferred location it is now closed. The Vallejo location was the next closest so picked that one. The Pleasant Hill location was a classy place. Felt like I was eating at a nice steakhouse. The Vallejo location was like eating at an Applebee’s, which I could’ve gone to without paying a bridge toll. The food our server were good. Only complaint is all 3 of us ordered coffee each time we asked for a refill, they took our cups away to refill 1 time they forgot to bring it back. Also, had to keep asking for refills. It was never offered. Would have rather they brought a carafe to the table. Otherwise, everything was fine but will probably not return."

"Came to this place for the Korean Fried chicken as they have drumsticks on the menu. Ordered medium size that consists of 10 drumsticks. The taste is rather disappointing. I wanted the chicken to stay crispy so asked if I can have it without the sauce and whether it will still be tasty without the sauce. The server reassured me that it will be tasty with no sauce and they strictly do not serve the sauce on the side. Also ordered the Japchae noodles as well. The drumsticks tasted very bland and again I asked if we can have sauce since I really didn’t expect it to be tasteless. Another server reiterated that they can drizzle the sauce over it and my friend picked the soy garlic and yummy yum. The sauce added taste to the chicken but the soy garlic was awfully sweet. The other flavor was ok. Next came the Japchae noodles which literally tasted the same as the soy garlic sauce and was overtly sweet. It is one of the worst Japchae noodles I ever had. Anyway, I will definitely not return for the food. I understand that the chicken needs to be prepared a certain way since it is a franchise/chain restaurant to keep to the consistency of what the brand is. But the taste of the sauce in this case definitely needs some adjustments. I’m a big fan of Korean food and Korean Fried Chicken. This to me is far from authentic. The chicken definitely needs to have sauce to taste better…but better sauce. However, I like to mention that the staff at this location is very friendly which kind of made up for the bad tasting food. I would not recommend going there if you want authentic/good Korean Fried Chicken. There are other restaurant and I noticed they have 1 competitor right outside across the parking lot. I had wanted to try this brand though, especially since they have drumsticks on the menu that most places chose to remove from their menu."

"Bugs... improperly cooked and spoiled food... noisy seating next to kitchen.Started off with multiple bugs on our table which I believe were falling From the ceiling... we had to crush and kill the bugs ourselves and while we offered to sit at another table it was literally the table next to it. The tall booths were filthy you wouldn’t let your head touch it so you’d have to lean forward a bit.One staff was sick and sneezing and coughing in the back because we never saw the sick staff come out it’s likely he was in the back cooking everyone’s food.First up was a salad ... it was nice and chilled and a decent dressing but the majority of the salad had turned. Another server overheard me and said that they’d eat the brown salad it’s only because it was fresh it was now that color... confused I just stopped eating the spoiled food and waited for the main course which I ordered the prime rib pound medium rare. Meats are supposed to be cooked to order so common sense and a set standard should be understood. As I said I ordered a medium rare cut of prime rib. I recieved an approximate thin cut prime rib that was so under cooked the sides were not even seared instead they were mostly removed and what remained was covered with a black grease and light seasoning which I assume is their dry rub which all could be removed by spreading it off the steak with a knife. Oh well I got a really rare steak not really a deal breaker but the taste was gamey and the meat had clearly been spoiled or mixed with meat that had spoiled. It was miserable and the staff clearly we bewildered when I asked if they could try cooking another because I clearly wasn’t going to get myself sick eating something spoiled. My server did a decent job it’s not her fault the food is awful however it was not ok to not get at least another steak that wasn’t spoiled and actually cooked to order. and no I didn’t eat the majority of the prime rib before complaining just"

"I had an excellent experience at the restaurant overall. The service was outstanding, with attentive waiting staff. However, I was disappointed with my ribeye steak, as it was quite fatty and not very flavorful. I chose not to complain about it, since it felt like a minor setback in an otherwise enjoyable meal. Everything else was fantastic! We particularly loved the Waggon Wheel sample, which arrived at our table promptly and was fresh alongside our cocktails. Despite the issue with the steak, my experience here was great, and I believe it was just a one-time fluke. I will definitely be returning!"

"I dined there the night before it closed and was disappointed with the service, which was both confusing and slow. This restaurant used to be my go-to spot for good beef. However, when the food finally arrived, it didn't meet the usual quality. I won’t be visiting another location. I hope another restaurant takes over the Sunnyvale spot, as both Sunnyvale and Santa Clara could use some variety. We already have plenty of Asian and Middle Eastern restaurants."
