"We ordered a bottle of wine, but the waiter returned to apologize and offered us two glasses of a different wine to taste, explaining that they were out of our selection. He assured us that the substitute was the same price, which I accepted, and we received new glasses. However, they never brought the bottle, and we were left unaware of what we were actually drinking. While I could have asked to see the bottle afterward, that would have been inconvenient and taken away from my time with my guest.
My mother had a similar experience during her visit. She ordered a specific bottled beer but instead received a glass of beer without the bottle. I may be old-fashioned, but I believe this is not how customers should be treated in a high-end restaurant.
During my visit, I noticed a dozen French diners, and based on their feedback, it seems they won't be returning either. There are certainly better dining options in Winter Park. My experience at Chez Vincent was disappointing, which is a real shame."
