"Went for dinner for our anniversary. Service was excellent. Music was pretty loud but it was good, somehow it seemed appropriate even though the place feels more upscale and one might expect a quieter atmosphere. We were offered champagne to start and our server even recommended a mocktail for my (pregnant) wife. We started with a variety of oysters from PEI recommended by the server and all were delicious. We also got the apple salad which was wonderful (surprisingly savory, layers and layers of flavor) and the truffle toast which I would pass on next time. Perhaps itâs for people who really love truffles, but we found the toast to be too sweet and just confusing. I ordered the duck entree with foie gras, which was almost too rich but very good. We were told it usually sells out each night so be aware of that possibility. The best part of the dish might have been the âdirtyâ risotto. My wife ordered the half chicken which was also very good. It really is fork-tender and the mashed potatoes were out of this world. For desert we had the buttermilk panna cotta which was a very nice, light way to finish the meal. Overall great experience. Will return."
