"I’ve been a regular customer at Madison Café for quite some time, visiting almost every day. In the beginning, I really enjoyed coming here—the food was fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. The woman up front taking orders is always friendly, professional, and makes you feel welcome. She’s definitely one of the highlights of this place. However, I’ve consistently had a different experience with the two gentlemen in the back who prepare and package the food. They’re not very approachable or cooperative. Whenever I’ve asked for something simple—like a small adjustment or clarification—they act annoyed or bothered, as if customer requests are a problem. That kind of attitude doesn’t sit well, especially with regular customers. Lately, I’ve also noticed a drop in food quality. I usually order the cheeseburger deluxe, and I used to really enjoy it. But recently, the burger has been overcooked, dry, and lacking flavor. The bun is soggy and sticks to the meat, which makes the whole thing less appetizing. I’ve also asked for an extra slice of pickle a few times—nothing major—but even as a regular, they don’t want to accommodate. That’s disappointing. Considering how expensive the food is, I really expect better quality and service. Madison Café definitely has potential, but there are areas that need improvement—especially consistency in food quality and the attitude of the kitchen staff. For now, I’d rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Hopefully, they’ll listen to feedback and make the necessary changes. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3"

"I had a uniquely poor experience. The restaurant was decorated in the sort of rusticrundown way that you expect in a great Cajun restaurant, but later on you wonder how much of it was intentional. We ordered a Roasted Garlic Bulb as an appetizer which came with two small dollops of hummus and some flatbread. I didn't know what to expect, but it was cloves of garlic that you had to fish out and it looked really unappetizing see: trypophobia. We got a three course meal with it and our soups were watery, our steaks were cooked unevenly, vegetables lacked salt and the chocolate cake was dry. POSITIVE: the service was kind and prompt, all seemed like good people, working hard. Other misc feedback is that I needed to ask for steak knives with the steak and the high top tables wobbled whenever I tried to cut my steak. What made it worse was that the dining room is uncomfortably quiet at points and you could hear all the other tables' issues: one guy's steak was overdone, another lady is hearing that the torch from creme brulee is broken, another table had their mains delivered before their starter due to the kitchen having a mix up... everyone was aware of each others' issues and, in a first for me, everyone was talking to each other and joking about the Celine Dion greatest hits being played overhead. Like I said, the staff were kind and I hope my experience was just an offnight. star for me though"
