"9/2020 This is a typical take-out Chinese place that happens to have a few tables in their lobby. You have a place to sit if you need a to sit. Food was good. I am rarely eat Chinese, but my son who has sensory issues ate it. Staff still came and checked on us twice. He also gave me a bottle of water free. There is no bathroom to use but there is a Publix next door. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because its not the atmosphere of a sit down restaurant. UPDATE. 5/2021: I read other’s reviews saying it was too greasy. Just wanted to amend mine to say we’ve never ordered anything fried so I can’t confirm or deny. My food was ready when I arrived. No long lines."

"First time ever coming here. We ordered takeout and picked it up through the drive thru. Staff was very nice and inviting. I ordered the special lo main, general tso, beef with garlic sauce, shomai, and dumplings..as well as egg drop soup and wonton soup.. and they ALL tasted amazing!..The food was flavorful and didn't need any additional sauces. The dumpling sauce and hot oil were also on point. I will definitely be going back for my last minute, fast food choices! It was very easy to order online and it was ready in 15 min!. Highly recommended!"

"I decided to try Royal Golden while I was stuck at work one evening. I ordered General Tso's chicken, the house special lo mein, and crab rangoon. Unfortunately, the chicken lacked flavor and had an odd texture, with too much breading and low-quality meat. The lo mein was bland, and although the noodles were fine, the meat had a gelatin-like texture. The crab rangoon's texture was acceptable, but the flavor was off. Overall, I wasn't satisfied with the meal but ate it anyway since it was all I had and I had already paid. On a positive note, the fortune cookie was crispy and tasty, and the fortune inside was pleasantly inoffensive."

"I really wish I could leave a higher review, but I cannot. I ordered take-out through a delivery app. Ordering was easy and prices were fair. The wait time was longer once I placed my order, and I arrived before the app said it was ready. Thankfully I went in since my food was ready already and looked like it had been for a little while. The staff seemed extremely friendly. They thanked me for my order. I saw a few others picking up food in my time there. I ordered beef lo mein and wontons. I was surprised at 10 wontons costing just over $3 when I ordered. The lo mein was good, exactly the kind of tasty inauthentic Chinese food Americans have grown to love. On the other hand, the wontons were not wontons. Please look closely at my picture. They literally looked like tortilla strips fried into nests. They tasted like any other fried dough, but were EMPTY! No filling!! In a wonton! I didn?t expect much for $3 but don?t call whatever that was a wonton. I wouldn?t eat there again before exhausting other Chinese options in the area."

"Sad to leave a one star review since I like the food a lot. However the owner charged us a 50% tip without asking during my last visit. Upon paying she told us that the tip was already included in the bill. We were shocked by how rude she was and confused by why or how she can charge the tip without asking. Not to mention we (2 girls) only ordered two dishes and she intentionally rushed us to sign the bill so we won't notice the huge difference. Yeah, anyway we did the math on our way home and did not have the energy to go through the hassles.Pay close attention to your bill if you decided to go."

"It's not bad and the place is well appointed. I was expecting to see more noodle dishes on the menu, but from what I experienced, it looks like a typical Chinese kitchen menu with some noodle offerings.The menu is large and I think it suffers from offering too much of everything (it's easy to get overwhelmed reading it) vs. a smaller menu that showcases the specialities. I can get Generals Tso's chicken anywhere, I wanted to see what made this place different. I think the noodle dishes should be front and center.I came in to try some Chow Fun noodles and it wasn't bad, but I felt the sauce was thin I wanted something darker more robust. I didn't see any bean sprouts in my dish, but the beef, chicken and shrimp were tasty and cooked well.I wanted to order some chicken wings as an appetizer, but with only one other couple eating in at the time, I was told 20-25 minutes for a cook time.I am sure they will find their footing soon and next visit will be better."

"I ordered 2 orders of Shrimp Toast, 2 orders of egg rolls and an order of Pork Fried rice with extra veggies for my husband and I. they delivered the food and my husband got home about 15-20 mins later. I opened the bag and smelled a burnt smell found out it was the Shrimp toast it was so burnt it was black, only got 1 order of egg rolls and they were almost raw, the pork fried rice had no extra veggies but was edible. I called them but they were already closed so called the next day. Instead of issuing a credit they said the accidentally charged me the 21.14 and that they voided it out and then issued a credit. It has taken 5 business days for the void to go thru and then the credit but the 21.14 charge is still there. This is the worst Chinese food restaurant in Frederick DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. NOT only can thy not cook food but they have no idea how to even credit a customer back. I then ordered 2 days later from Modern Asia and the food was impeccable the shrimp toast was cooked perfect and nice and golden. Melanie Pollis"

"First and last time eating here. Only one because my food was tasty, my son 's was eh...When we arrived there was one person sitting in a booth on the phone, no other apparent customers. After reviewing the menu, we placed our order at the counter. You have pay first and are asked for a tip up front.We prefer to leave cash tips so that didn 't happen until we left. In any case, we received our order at the table and that was it. We never saw anyone again, no tea refills, no inquiry about the food or if we needed anything else. Very sad.Paid a visit to the ladies room, it was ok . My son said the men 's room was filthy like it hadn 't been swept or mopped in a while.Sat at our table for a little while and still no one came over. In fact she wasn 't even at the counter during our entire meal.Again, very disappointed. I am from San Antonio and enjoy trying different restaurants when I come to Houston. I can say we tried Fu Belly, and won 't return."

"I was going to take my refund and let it be but now I feel like I need to say something. Tried JoJos for the first time yesterday. Got the beef fried rice and egg rolls. On my second bite of rice I notice a bug in my food. Got grossed out because there could’ve been more. I called and asked for a refund. Go back for my refund and idk if this man was the owner, I think he was. Guy was EXTREMELY RUDE! huffing and puffing at me, telling me “good one” as if I’m lying. I show him the picture and he continues to be rude to me talking about how it has never happened in the years he’s been open. Blah blah. Dude I just want my money back and I’ll leave. My order was 15.96 and all he gave me back was 14 dollars and couldn’t even put it in my hand.. threw it on the counter. — he’s very lucky my husband wasn’t there."

"I ordered vegetable fried rice, absolutely no flavor at all the lady at the counterade it seem like since there is no meat in it that is why it has no flavor I guess she doesn't understand that even meat only has flavor because of the vegetables (onion powder, garlic seasoning, cayenne pepper) vegetable are what give everything flavor. I also ordered spring rolls and there was something inside that was not a vegetable she acted as If I was lying about meat being on the inside but I brought it to her and she couldn't tell me what it was although it looked a lot like chicken. If I bring you all of your food back in tacked and what was inside my spring roll I should be able to get a refund she went on to say how she worked there 3 months and never a complaint. Well that doesn't explain why there was meat in my food and it didn't taste like anything. I won't be back. I payed 9$ and she refunded me 4 dollars and I returned all the food. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend"

"Came here with several friends for the lunch buffet. The window paint says the buffet is $8.99, after eating and going to pay we were told the window is wrong and it's actually about $20.There's 2 buffet tables but they only ever set out 1 of them so I ended up paying $20 for chicken tikka masala since there wasn't much variety.Overall I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you do go, you should refuse to pay whatever made up price they give you and insist on the window price."

"Another hidden place for Asian cuisine. It's amazing what can be found when you look in some interesting places. Zen's Noodles is an overlooked place in Naperville, in the Hmart Asian supermarket. It has a counter to order at. This is a no frills place but it's a great value. Hmart is a good place to get Asian food and supplies for cooking. It has a food court featuring authentic items. They have a few stalls. In the middle are tables so you can eat right here. This stall has a counter to order at, so there's not much to it. Mostly meaty but there's a few vegetarian friendly items. The item I usually get is the Vegetable With Fried Tofu. It's about $8 for a good amount. The vegetables are a nice variety of a mix, and the tofu is plenty. For sure it's recommended to come to this big Asian market. It has many great things about it but the food court is the best part. The only bad thing is the market needs to clean tables."
