"I’m grateful for the time spent with my family, but I’m quite disappointed. We had no idea who our server was, while other tables around us were being attended to. The most frustrating part was that the restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet we received no service whatsoever. At least they remembered to bring our food to the table, but we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being overlooked, especially since we were the only Hispanic guests in that section. It felt unfair when the rest of the guests were being treated well. Unfortunately, this is not a place we plan to return to, and thankfully, it's not close to home."

"If you are looking for a nice Italian restaurant that features pasta and brick oven pizza near the Theater District this is perfect. Attentive service, good food, and a short walk to the theater, as an added plus it a block away from the throngs of tourists. If driving into the City convenient large parking garage across the street (traffic moves East)."

"Prime rib way overpriced at $50. Ordered med rare and got well done. Sent it back and got a piece that was 50% fat. Potatoe side dish was very good. The butternut squash raviolis were awesome. The lasagna, bread and ceasar salad were great. Would recommend bringing your own wine and paying the $20 corkage fee. Will probably give it another chance."

"First time to Bella Gusto for their wood fire pizza. Started with delicious calamari with marinara sauce. They were lightly dusted with corn meal giving the dish a lightness that is not always found in calamari. For pizzas had the Margherita and the Triple P. The latter was described as having pancetta, goat cheese, fig jam, roasted mushrooms, arugula and pickled red onion. When served it was hard to taste any pancetta or fig jam. The was an abundance of arugula &a onions which was disappointing. The sauce on the Margherita had a sweetness to it that we liked. There is a full bar and they make a good Mule. Salted caramel gelato was a hit for dessert. The place has a good start on ambiance but is missing some key elements. There was no background music or if so it was very soft. That led to us being able to hear many conversations at neighboring tables. Some nice Italian music would be perfect. All in all Bella Gusto was good but there are so many good pizza places these days that they will need to step up their game."
