"The noise level in the restaurant made it extremely challenging to hear one another at our table. The service also left much to be desired; the servers were neither particularly helpful nor friendly, and we often had to seek someone out to ask for water refills. We were surprised that no birthday dessert was offered, and when the server returned with the bill, he removed the itemized version that included a mandatory 20% gratuity. Instead, he presented a charge slip with only the total and a blank tip line. Had we not noticed the gratuity was already included in the total, we might have ended up double-tipping the server. The highlight of the evening was, surprisingly, the sourdough bread."
