"I visited during Downtown Dining Week and chose this restaurant, which was part of the $35 options. Unfortunately, the service was much below that expected level. There was a long wait between courses, and plates remained on our table until the next course arrived. Our server seemed quite disinterested in us, and drink orders took a lengthy time to arrive. We weren't provided with new silverware, and I was specifically asked to remove my fork from my plate so the server could clear it away. The food was decent to good, but nothing outstanding. None of these issues would have been as bothersome if they hadn’t all occurred or if the restaurant had been on the $25 list instead."

"Love how polite the employees are. If you don?t know what something is they are more than happy to explain it to you. They make our coffee on the spot and it?s made delicately. "Healthy Rejuvenating Delicious Food for Great Price. A fantastic new favorite dish for me is the Kale Chicken Vegetable rice bowl(See pic enclosed) I eat at California Fresh, 5 days a week, it's quick, Fast, convenient location and the food is healthy, non greasy, and very affordable, at a great value price. Recently, I have been having the New Kale Salmon Rice Bowl, which is delicious and a sure home run. My other 2 signature dishes I order are the White Dover Sole with Steamed Vegetables and Black Beans, and the Anti Oxidant Salad with grilled Chicken or Salmon on top. Elan the owner is a very nice, accommodating involved owner and Emma, the girl who works the front register, is a hidden Gem, she is very sharp, fast, very engaging and friendly, and customer service oriented. Owner is lucky to have her work there. Overall, without hesitation I endorse and recommend California Fresh as a healthy option at a great price with quality customer service, and friendly employees."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem. The service was top-notch. I ordered tea and it came with a full tea set. The tortellini with chicken was incredible. The chicken was flavorful and tender, the pasta was fresh, and the cream sauce had a rich taste. The waiter made sure all my needs were met and looked after my table without being too overbearing, which is a balance that many struggle to achieve. This is definitely my new favorite place to eat."

"First thing first. Three words that sum up California Chicken Cafe for me would be 'Fresh Ingredients always. ' This is most definitely a go to lunch choice of mine. I try to partake in a California Chicken Cafe salad at least one to two times a week. Very large portioned salads are to be had here. There is basically five salad choices that you can add to or subtract ingredients to suit your taste. Additional vegetables, proteins, pasta, and many other ingredients can be added to your salad for very low additional charges. I usually tack on about three dollars worth of yummies to my salad. My favorite go to salad would be the 'California Chicken Salad. ' Another plus is that the dressings are always served on the side, so the salad travels well. Meaning you can eat it later after driving it back to work, home, etc. California Chicken Cafe also prepares about eight or so wraps with white or wheat pita bread. They also specialize in rotisserie chicken and offer about a dozen sides to accompany a chicken order. You must try one of the five homemade juices featured at the California Chicken Cafe. My favorite is the lemonade. Downloading their App makes ordering easier by keeping your favorite orders stored. They really shuffle you through quickly with their curbside food delivery service. Give it a try you won 't be disappointed."

"I do not write this review because I expect something from the restaurant, but because I only had to be known for the tomfoolery that happened for the rhodos college graduation brunch. last Saturday my little sister and friends of rhodos have studied. one of the mothers planned that we went to the brunch in cafe society and made a reservation for 20. I was super excited when I had never been to the cafe society before and after looking at the menu was even more excited to try the food. after sitting at our table the waitress gave us a piece of paper that was the selection menu for the rhodos graduation brunch. we were also informed that it was $40 per person. I thought $40 was a little steep for brunch without drinks included, but each person got an appetizer, main course and gloomy. three options were available both for appetizers and for main course, with two options for dessert. Please note that only one appetizer and one dessert come from the actual menu of cafe society. each ordered various appetizers and I must say that they were amazing. I had the speck wrapped garnel in the horseradish cream sauce, which was delicious and I was super enthusiastic for the rest of the meal. About an hour after the conclusion of our appetizers began to come the most important courses. it took a good 20 minutes to serve all participants. it was definitiw chaotic. here it goes down. not really on the hill, but rather on the seemed. the people who ordered the chicken and waffeln were served 5-6 overcooked chicken pliers on a single frozen breakfast waffel about 4 inches in diameter. I know that wasn't the hugging and wailing the other tables were served when we saw all food on the tables as we were placed on our places. the hugging and the waggling we saw were wonderful. the waffel was a Belgian waffel the size of a teller with half a hen up. a mozen on our party asked the server if this was the right waffel and her answer was that they did not really look at the teller when they bring them out! for the people who ordered the steak and hathbrowns, it was just as devastating. No one was asked how to cook her steak. some people got coal and some people had in the ground meat that was still mooing. for the people who chose the simple avocado toast with hollandaise, it was just that; very simple with a small piece of watermelon thrown into the hollandaise for the decoration. then it was time for dessert, which lasted another 45 minutes! but before the dessert was served, they brought out the scars! everyone tried to decrypt his bill and get his bills out while desserts were slowly released. it was the same as the ones. the server had no idea who ordered what they called out of dessert again and again so that people could raise their hands! the dessert options were a French toast or cream brulee. the French toast was less than average. the cream brulee was not completely boiled. it apparently had not set up and was in the grunde egg/milk suppe, which seemed to sit outside for some time. Saturday evening and Sunday had several people on the party gastrointestinal problems. we can only consider that it was the brunch; especially the runny cream brulee. No one wanted to cause a scene and ruin this special day even more, so no one was complaining. a party member called cafe society on Monday. the person they apologised with and said they had left the ball on the brunch. he said he had to find out what happened when he was not there on Saturday. he told her he would contact her the next day. here we are Thursday and no one has contacted them. I write this review not to say that they drop the ball, but to say that they are completely and completely embarrassing with their culinary skills. the half of our party were family members of graduates from the city who were told that this was an excellent restaurant. it was a three-hour lunch that got worse than the time went on. I can only assume that the main course lasted so long until someone"

"The restaurant is overly paranoid about Covid precautions. It's November 2022 and they still have strict guidelines in place. While I appreciate safety measures, this feels like an overreaction. I can't stop thinking about how excessive their rules are. I won't be returning here. The food is mediocre at best. There are plenty of other businesses that deserve my patronage. "Fantastic service each time. Nick usually helps me and he is always upbeat and professional. The food is always consistent quality and the prices are fair. My neighbors also rave about this place. Their rotisserie chicken is amazing. I prefer to pay the markup than buy the $5 chicken from Costco. Their salad and fruit is always fresh and they thoughtfully package their food. A majority of their packaging is sustainable. Ordering online is very easy. There’s parking in the back for dine-in and there’s organized curbside pickup. It’s a no brainer why everyone loves this restaurant. It is ran well, all the employees are personable and trained, the food is consistent and delicious and the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. They do everything right and you can tell there’s a lot of thought and care that goes into this restaurant. Easily one of my favorite local spots. :"

"We were visiting in Los Angeles, and I called for takeout. I ordered a rotisserie chicken, roasted potatoes, and fruit salad. I even got a small soup for my husband. We are a family of four, and we had plenty to eat. The food was delicious and it was ready very quickly. I called them, walked around the block, and it was packed and ready. This particular location only does takeout. I wish we had these in San Diego!"

"After arriving from LAX, we stopped at this nearby place for food. It took 10 mins to even be acknowledged and seated. The menu was nothing like the photos and had about 5 options that were completely overpriced. We ended up ordering, then 10 mins later, we were informed they didn’t have one of the 5 options(pot roast). It ended up taking 40 mins for our food, which was small portions and very average tasting. Also nothing about it was European as suggested, just basic american food. The calamari was good tho and the live music, which salvaged a meal with slow service and overpriced food."

"CCC is always my go-to for a quick bite after the gym. My wife and I order the 91 wrap and Chinese Chicken. We are always blown away by the value and quality here. Everyone was good to us from start to finish. But, today’s meal was special, because of the warm service of the gentleman that brought us our food. He greeted us kindly and even took the time to say hello to our newborn. He had so much charisma and an amazing smile to match. I believe his name was Shawn. Glorious beard. Great guy! "Visiting Scottsdale for a few days. Today I was seeking out bread pudding and low and behold I discovered possibly the best bread pudding you’ll ever have here. My wife and I intended to get it to go, but instead had a light snack. We had the most delicious polenta as well as the soup de jour, onion soup, both we absolutely as good as it gets. The ambience of the restaurant is terrific, wonderful art, lighting and seating. The service was wonderful. A total 5-star experience. Price were as could be expected, not cheap, but a great value. Highly recommended."
