"I really want to love this place. The atmosphere during the warm months is wonderful, the food is unique, and the staff is welcoming, but I’ve found that it never quite reaches greatness. I don’t regret dining here, but I also don’t think it’s worth going out of my way for. The sandwiches are all distinct and most of them are enjoyable, yet there’s always something lacking that stops them from being truly excellent. Moreover, they’re on the pricey side. For a $17 sandwich, I would expect it to be more substantial, crispier, or fresher—something. If I knew what that missing element was, I’d definitely ask for it. Until I figure it out, I’ll continue to explore other options in Tacoma."
