I had the pleasure of being served by JD, an 18-year-old waiter, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. However, I do have some concerns regarding dietary restrictions, particularly since I am on kidney dialysis and need to avoid sugar. Unfortunately, the tea was overly sweet, even after adding half-and-half. I tried diluting it with unsweetened tea, but it was still too sweet. The coleslaw also had a sweetness to it, and I suspect the greens were made with sweetened ham, as they tasted sweet as well. The fish was greasy, and the only item I truly enjoyed were the hush puppies. Despite these issues, I chose not to complain.
As for parking, I've noticed that on busy days, some guests park on the grass. While there aren’t any designated play areas, the atmosphere is welcoming for kids. The restaurant is accessible for those in wheelchairs, as there are no stairs to navigate.
In summary, I dined in for dinner, and my meal cost around $10-20 per person. I would rate the food at a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. There is ample parking available, all in a free parking lot.
