"We have eaten at two Dot's Diners so far and we haven't been disappointed. Upon walking into the dining area, it's everything you would expect; clean, no overcrowding, spacious and a pleasant atmosphere and no loud/rap music. The waitress was veryprofessional and took care of our every need from the moment we sat down to the moment we left. My son had a meat omelettebreakfast with all the fixings and I had a chef salad with grilled chicken. I had to get a to-go box for my salad that's howlarge it was. I wish there was a Dot's diner on the West Bank."

"This place is in a strip mall, but it’s so good! We went for breakfast. It has an old school feel to it. We were a party of 7 and they got us in quickly. The food came out quickly also. Our waiter was so nice! I ordered a Belgian waffle, my husband ordered eggs Benedict, my kids got French toast, and my father in law got jalapeño corn cakes. All of our food was delicious! The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was thick and good! Every single thing we got was amazing! And the waffles are Texas shaped and served with hot syrup! We will definitely return when we are in the area."

"My first time coming to NOLA and I can already tell this is a staple in the area. The service was prompt and very warming. Our server Cathleen was very knowledgeable, super friendly and gave us a few places to check out while on our trip. The food was flavorful. I tried alligator sausage for the first time and it was delicious. I’ve worked in the food industry for many years so I’m pretty good on picking up the atmosphere where I am. Our server Cathleen was a breath of fresh air. We loved her service so much we came back the next day for breakfast again. This time we sat at the bar and got a more sociable experience learning more about NOLA. Please stop by this location to get a taste of the food that NOLA has to offer. On our second time coming in I tried the crab cakes and gumbo. They are both a different take on the traditional and were both very delicious packed with flavor. Wash it all down with a beautifully crafted cocktail like the Hurricane; you can’t go wrong with the strongest drink on the menu"

"I brought my daughter here for her birthday, but our experience was disappointing. We waited to be seated while the hostess chatted with others, completely ignoring us. She glanced in our direction several times but never acknowledged our presence. Although there were empty tables, the sign instructed us to "wait to be seated." When we decided to leave, the hostess finally looked at us but didn't say a word. This happened at 10:30 AM today. Unfortunately, they lost a potential customer and his family."

"Very cute, right off the road spot. You walk in, and the atmosphere is an awesome hodgepodge of old Florida, smooth wooden ornaments and quirky pops of aesthetic flavor in the photographs. Now, granted this is my first time going and I only ordered the pancakes and sausage links (I judge southern breakfast spots on how well they can do either pancakes or biscuits and gravy , BUT I have to say those pancakes were so good, I think I might change my will to have me encased in pancake batter when I die. AND the pancakes were a hefty size with the most subtle crisp crunch on the edges, just like nature intended. They were fluffy, yet moist (unlike SOME breakfast chains that I won't mention.... and aren't too heavy on the stomach but hella filling. DEFINITELY going again. I tell myself that I won't get the pancakes again....but you and I both know that's a boldfaced lie. I just spent an entire paragraph ranting about pancakes. And I'll do it again if this place keeps flipping out pancakes this damn good. Update: As of late September, I have been 4 or 5 more times and I've yet to have a bad experience. The pancakes and french toast are too good. They are either heaven sent, or a diabolical plot to fatten the Central Florida area via great food, actually fair prices and hearty portions. Either way, I'm game."

"I enjoyed the outdoor dining area next to the Farmer's Market for brunch. I ordered the avocado toast. It was good, nice fresh avocado and tomatoes except parts of the sunny side up egg were not cooked enough clear runny egg white. Would like to see more of the goat cheese, too had to search for it. I had excellent service. The main downside was when I went into the bathroom area and the women's bathroom very dirty area. There is a drapery on the front of the sink counter that is black with grime yikes!!! Made me think twice about eating here again. Clean bathrooms are essential for a restaurant!!!!!"

"Had been meaning to take my lovely love wife here on our day off. Had it before at another location and absolutely loved the food and drinks. Oh boy. We walk in and everything appears fine. Employees are working behind the counter and customers are seated. Nice atmosphere. That mood was short-lived. The moment she walked up looking at the biscuits, the woman behind the counter yelled THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED! before she could even place an order. Having worked in fast-food and retail, I sympathize when items are out. It 's beyond your control. Any reasonable person knows that. But there is a better way of telling us that. That should have been our cue to leave. But we stayed. She ordered a croissant and a cappuccino, and I ordered a frozen puccino. We paid and waited. She got her croissant and I got my drink. She never got her cappuccino. The woman behind the counter didn 't include it in the order. Had already opted for no receipt before this. So for all I know I paid for the cappuccino, and they didn 't bother to make it. Who knows. No apology for the mishap whatsoever. So we ordered a cappuccino. Again. Paid for it and got it this time. As we sat there sipping on our drinks, all we could hear were the staffers loudly and openly complaining about employees who didn 't show up, how they deserved a day off and how they didn 't want to be there. I actually loved my frozen puccino. But seeing and listening to all that isn 't worth it. Never again. Not the Puccino 's in Old Metairie, that 's for certain."

"My husband and I found this great local joint while honeymooning. We were in town for 3 days and ate breakfast here each morning!
