"The brunch was incredibly disappointing and not just for the price point. The cost was $165 a person (you are charged in advance plus gratuity) and by the time we arrived the food was totally destroyed. The cheese plates on the buffet where so mangled that other parts and bits of food had been smashed into the cheese…this grossness was never cleaned up or removed. One of the offerings for kids was a donut “bar” that’s a lofty description of one small bowl of cold donut holes. Omelette bar was good and at the basic expectation but literally everything else was picked over or missing all together. Then let’s talk about the small plates of leather like bits of ham sitting on book shelves under the heat lamps…honestly I think there was other meat as well but I couldn’t identify it. In the same section was mozzarella and tomato’s, another part I kept thinking would be refreshed but that didn’t happen. Overall I was told it would also be a kid friendly event but the candy bar (which was lovely by the way) cannot be the only kid friend food. Our kids would have eaten the veggie sushi but unfortunately it had turned brown and I couldn’t subject them to that. So next is the shellfish, we love shellfish and it was one of the reasons we decided to do this for Easter (other than kid friendly, etc)…the oysters had turned lukewarm as had the the shrimp and it was deeply concerning. It did not appear that they had the fresh seafood on a timer for refreshing at all. The service staff really seemed to do their best with the situation but overall I would never recommend the Boston Harbor hotel to anyone for their holiday brunch."

"In a pinch and for convenience, sure. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Of course, it's overpriced, but that's to be expected. Most of their employees are either lazy, inept or don't feel empowered to do anything that's not an exact part of their job description. Here are some of the things which make this place tough to like. it's 11:15 AM on a Saturday and both deli employees are on break. How about you take staggering breaks so you don't have to close down the deli while 4 customer would like to buy food (and that was just over 5 minutes)? With all the other employees around, not one could be bothered to put a ready made sandwich into a panini press for me. when items are restocked, frequently, they move them to a different part of the store and when i can't find something, there is a good chance they don't know what I'm asking for. charge for bags without asking if i want one. refusal to allow return on items which are spoiled unless you have a receipt BUT they don't give you a receipt. Gotten food poisoning from their ground chicken. No money back and they just tell you they're sorry. Nothing is actually done about it. with any food recalls (like with the recent Oatly scare), I had to tell them about it. They were unaware of the recall. What's worse? They don't do anything about it. Their employees act like lazy, don't care high school employees (but they are actually adults) who show zero initiative to help this business and it's customers. Management should consider reevaluating their hiring and training praxtices."

"Cashew curls. They messed up the recipe and still sold it to unsuspecting customers. I bought four bags yesterday, set aside two for a friend who has eaten them for years, same as me. Today, i opened my bag for an afternoon snack with tea and omg how awful they were. First, half as small in size, second not curled at all, and third stale tasting. Had given another bag to a friend hyping the cookies and she had them for the first time, says they were not great either she tossed the rest of the bag immediately. I called to talk to the manager and the person who answered the phone relayed to me that the baker had forgotten to add egg whites. Duh, didn't someone check them after they were done to make sure they looked like and tasted like the same product that they have sold in the past? She also mentioned expiration date my package said 9/22; my friend tossed hers so fast that she couldn't retrieve to check the date. They used to be called Russian Tea cakes under the former owner, Neldam's, but were renamed to cashew curls after the employees bought it, with no change in quality. I've been going there since I was a child, over 50 years ago this is the first time it has been so bad! While that's a good thing statistically, it didn't help my extreme disappointment today. Now that I know how bad this batch was, I am going to eat the cost for the bags I got for my friends. Horrible experience!!"
