"The only downside is the somewhat unfriendly staff. If you speak Cantonese, they’re welcoming and chatty; if you speak Mandarin, you might get a half-smile, and if you only speak English, well, you’ll likely get a rather indifferent response. It seems a bit much to expect them to greet their customers, doesn’t it?
Kee Wah operates as a self-serve bakery. Just grab a tray and some tongs and fill it to the brim with all the delightful goodies. While most items are self-service, the hot treats like egg custards and meat buns are kept in an enclosed warmer and need to be retrieved by the staff.
Kee Wah is part of a chain, and I believe there are a couple of other locations in the San Gabriel Valley. If you’re ever craving some delicious Chinese baked goods, it’s definitely worth making a detour to Kee Wah.
So good!"
