"Based on the reviews, my expectations were a little high. Here is what I liked: •the staff. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Had about three staff members helping throughout my dinner. Here is what I didn’t like much: •the food. For starters, the bread was cold — which I’ve experienced at other places, so I will not fully knock them for that. The flavor of it was good, however. •I ordered the calamari fritti for starters and it needed more flavor. Also the calamari rings were a bit rubbery and I couldn’t get through the order. •For the main dish I ordered a special gnocchi with lobster in a rose sauce. I don’t believe the gnocchi was housemade as it had the same texture and heaviness of the kind found in the grocery store refrigerated section. I was expecting pillowy, melt in your mouth gnocchi, as that is what I’ve experienced at every other Italian restaurant I’ve ever ordered it from. The lobster, while plentiful, seemed overcooked, and the rose sauce was orange and not what I expected. My bill (with the added in gratuity — which I think is fair! was $90. The meal just wasn’t what I had hoped for at all as someone who loves Italian food and had high hopes based on the reviews."
