"My daughter and I ate here before a Broadway show. There used to be a location of this restaurant in Queens which was excellent and this was our first time trying this location. The menu was very typical of an Italian restaurant, no unique dishes. We started with a Caesar salad, which we shared. It was a bit pricey at $19 and no better than the $12 ones I have had at many other restaurants. For our entrees my daughter had a black ink squid pasta with seafood and I had the fettuccine with shrimp. Both dishes were good, but once again nothing special. Desserts were excellent. My daughter had a chocolate lava cake, which was extra for a small scoop of ice cream. I don’t usually see lava cakes that don’t automatically come with ice cream. I had the tartufo, which was great. The service was good and the location couldn’t have been better in the theater district. Given that I avoid chain restaurants as much as possible this was a decent choice, but disappointing compared to their other location, which unfortunately closed several years ago."
