"There's so much that went wrong, this will be a long one. We had a reservation for my daughter's birthday, which happens to be Valentine's Day. The restaurant wasn't super busy several tables sat, but not packed by any means. We were seated right away, but not given menus. Huh, wondering if they're still using QR codes exclusively, which are still on the table. After about 10 minutes, I see another diner at the sushi bar with a menu, so my husband goes to the front to get a few for us. Finally we're checking out the menu, and wondering if anyone will ever approach our table. Servers are walking by us, so someone has to know we're there. We're considering leaving, but it being Valentine's Day there's no chance we'll get a table anywhere else. Finally about 25 minutes after being seated, my husband goes to the front and asks for a server. Young girl finally comes over (by the way 4 servers, 3 were girls who looked to about high school age, and one young man looked to be 20 something , very friendly and apologetic, and tells us she'll comp our soup/salad, but since what we ordered comes with soup or salad, she offers free beverages. Ok, fine. (Also, as a side note, I need to order gluten free their GF items are indicated on the menu, but always double check, because the California Roll I ordered isn't GF. The server had to check and it is made with listed on the menu as GF California Roll is made with imitation crab which usually has wheat. Takes another 15 minutes or so to finally get our drinks. And then at some point, sushi comes out, then entrees, which by the way all came out at different times. When my entree came out the server told me I couldn't have it as ordered (with beef because the beef wasn't gluten free. I'm sorry but she should have told me earlier so I might have had a chance to order something else. She brought a side of coated and fried tofu instead which I was hesitant to eat because I didn't know what the coating was. Where's the soup/salad? Oh well. I guess she forgot. All the while, another table that came in about 20 minutes after us has come and gone. Clearly they had a more attentive server. So, after we're pretty much done eating, the server comes back to check on us, I tell her we never got our soup/salad, so we ask for it to go. I guess what gets me is the manager never came to our table to offer an apology or an explanation of what happened. I would have expected her to at least check in with us to make sure everything was ok. As for the food, it was a mixed bag, some good, some bad. Due to the service and lack of clarity with their GF food, we won't be going back."

"I was so excited to try this establishment as I 've been craving a sandwich for the longest! I love cheesesteak sandwiches and I believe I also read somewhere that the owner is a Jersey native himself so I just had to check this place out. I stopped by after work yesterday and here 's my verdict: Located in Garden Grove within a small parking lot you 'll find A Bite Of Jersey. Upon arrival we immediately loved the ambiance as it felt more like a cozy dive bar rather than your typical sandwich joint. My boyfriend ordered a 6 inch Chicken Parm sub and I opted for the 6 inch Philly Cheesesteak with provolone cheese. We also ordered some brews as well and I really enjoyed my 'Spacedust ' IPA. After we placed our ordered we were served our sandwiches about 20 minutes later. Service was overall great and I appreciated the cashier 's energetic attitude. I had quite the high expectations but as I was served my sandwich I immediately noticed the stinginess of the cheese. A lot of these pictures posted on here are quite deceiving as my dry cheesesteak lacked the cheese that I was anticipating. Now don 't get me wrong, is it flavorful? Yes. I just can 't help but feel something is missing when it comes to their cheesesteaks though... It tasted similar to my mom 's homemade cheesesteaks which is nowhere near a proper representation of an East Coast Hoagie. Perhaps if they put extra cheese and peppers to balance out the dryness then their cheesesteak would be better but the star of the night was definitely my boyfriend 's Chicken Parm sub. The chicken was crispy and they put a generous amount of sauce and cheese on his sandwich. Overall I think I may have ordered the wrong item but I 'll be back to try their Chicken California sub. I 'd still recommend anyone in the area to check this establishment out if you 're craving a sandwich (just ask for extra cheese). Support your local businesses! 3.5/5"
