"The restaurant is part pizza parlor and part Thai restaurant, which should have been our first clue. But we were so excited to eat Thai food that we threw caution to the wind and charged headlong into the breach. The people who run the restaurant are very welcoming. The service is amazing. The locale is beautiful. But anyone who has ever had Thai food before will be severely disappointed. The spring rolls were good. If I were having a glass of wine and some spring rolls, I would have been completely fine with the experience. However, the rest of the meal was uninspiring. We had the chicken Pad Thai, and the noodles were tossed in a thick, overpowering sweet peanut sauce that masked all other flavors. It felt... gluey. The dish was also very light on Thai herbs and seasoning, and there were very few pieces of chicken in it. We also left some pizza on the table, which is not our norm, but that might just be the sweet crust pizza conventions of Northern Michigan."
