"The menu is quite extensive, and aside from an order of chips and salsa—which aren't complimentary—I went straight for the pozole. The salsa arrived warm and there was a generous portion of chips. The salsa was excellent, with a nice molcajete texture. My pozole came out shortly after, served with radishes, onions, and a salad. I also requested jalapeños and cilantro on the side, but unfortunately, the jalapeños were not fresh; they were dry and brown.
The pozole itself was served hot and had a great flavor, with a good balance of meat and hominy. However, I must mention that the broth was quite greasy. Three additional salsas were brought to the table, and I enjoyed trying them with my chips—each one was very good. On the downside, the corn tortillas were rubbery, almost as if they were pre-made and just quickly heated. I ended up only having a piece of one and relied on the chips instead.
Overall, it was a good breakfast and I found a new spot for pozole!"
